SkyFall’s Thor Hammer combines computer vision, autonomous navigation and a claimed range of up to 600 km; the manufacturer plans to reach production of 5,000 units per month by the end of 2026.
Ukrainian manufacturer SkyFall has unveiled the Thor Hammer, a new drone that uses artificial intelligence and computer vision to autonomously carry out the final stage of a mission even if communications with the operator are interrupted.
The technology is notable because it is designed to reduce one of the main vulnerabilities of drones operating in environments with intense electronic interference: the loss of signals used for video transmission, commands and navigation.
According to information released by SkyFall, the Thor Hammer can reach distances of up to 600 km, carry a payload of approximately 40 to 50 kg and achieve a top speed of around 180 km/h.
The performance figures were provided by the manufacturer, and there is no independent public confirmation of all these parameters.
