00:00Whenever we do anything, we always do it with an eye towards privacy and security.
00:04It's something we take very seriously.
00:06I think that's something that's been in the news a lot lately, especially with meta and glasses and that sort
00:10of thing.
00:11I'd love to get your approach and your thinking around privacy.
00:14But what do you think about the backlash around what people are calling pervert glasses to some?
00:21That's quite a marketing slogan.
00:24If you do enter, let's just say, AI wearables in general, how do you make sure that people continue to
00:30trust your stance on privacy even as you get into new markets?
00:35I think whenever we do anything, we always do it with an eye towards privacy and security.
00:41It's something we take very seriously and approach very thoughtfully.
00:44And I think if you see the audio intelligence features that we just announced on Apple Watch, it's been possible
00:51to record audio or create a transcript with apps on watches and phones for a long time.
00:56And we wanted to build something that was very privacy first.
01:00And so you look at Siri Recap and there is no transcript.
01:03There is no recording.
01:04Even the owner of the watch can't see the recording.
01:07It doesn't exist.
01:08There's no transcript.
01:09There's no speaker attribution.
01:11We wanted to do this in a way that people feel comfortable using it and people around the user feel
01:16comfortable about its existence.
01:18Sure.
01:18And that's so important.
01:19I think a lot of people glanced over that and thought, is it recording you all day?
01:27It's not recording you at all.
01:28That's why we had to create a whole new chip for the watch that has this X-Clave on it
01:35that allows us to only keep that audio for the moment it needs to be processed.
01:41Right.
01:41To create very high level notes, right, of what's going on.
01:45As John said, no transcript, no recording at all.
01:48And if we don't have a recording, it means no one else has a recording.
01:50The link is all description.
01:50By the name of vrai putting it on.
