00:02I think it's really interesting that Siri itself is so synonymous now with being bad at AI,
00:07that they had to stick AI on the end of the name to really draw in that that is what

00:12But what's changed in the new Siri Axel?
00:14Yeah, I mean, it's essentially become what Apple said it would become two years ago,
00:18so two years later.
00:19But I think it has.
00:20It's more conversational.
00:21It's more accurate.
00:22It won't just hand your query to third-party providers like ChatGPT.
00:26It's much more seamless.
00:27It will live within the dynamic island now, and if you pull it down,
00:31you'll get a chat interface, which can then lead into a dedicated app.
00:34So it all looks really sleek, and I like the way it goes from black to transparent.
00:38It looks very Apple.
00:40And I think it is important to say as well that nothing here is that groundbreaking.
00:43Gemini's been able to answer queries and take action for you for a while now.
00:47Siri is using information that you've already given your iPhone permission to access.
00:51So your messages, your emails, your wallet information, it already exists on your iPhone.
00:55And so now Siri can basically access it securely, whereas with something like ChatGPT,
01:01you're kind of giving this LLM the information and then saying, okay, here's the context.
01:05Give me the answer.
01:06Whereas your iPhone already has that.
01:08So I think the USP is that it's privacy, security, speed, which is very Apple.
01:12I think design-wise, it's the most beautiful AI interface I've ever seen.
01:17For sure.
01:17iOS 27 is going all the way back to the iPhone 11.
01:20But Apple Intelligence and Siri AI, which is part of Apple Intelligence,
01:23will still be limited to the 15 Pro and newer.
01:26So 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, all the 16s, and then everything after that.
01:29Siri AI is available, like I said, on all Apple Intelligence-capacable models.
01:33But Apple's most powerful on-device model,
01:35which is going to include the things like the bespoke Siri voice
01:38and that improved dictation.
01:40It's going to be limited to devices with 12 gigabytes of RAM.
01:44So at the moment, that's a 17 Pro and an iPhone Air.
01:47This is the thing most people are confused and annoyed about.
01:49People who bought an iPhone 16 Pro, for instance,
01:51which came out, what, 18 months ago,
01:53billed as an AI-compatible iPhone,
01:55you can't get the top-end version of Siri.
01:57The iPhone 17 won't get the best version of Siri.
