00:21and the epidemic.

00:37In the beneficiary schools, this initiative goes beyond material assistance through its

00:45The organization aims to help children facing trauma linked to conflict, displacement and
00:50difficult living conditions.
00:54Our region has been in this situation for more than 30 years.

01:22In some pupils, trauma is expressed through aggressive behavior or difficulty concentrating.
01:32They have nothing and every hour we spend with them here, we can feel the poverty they are living in.
01:39Psychologically, they are traumatized because they live away from their parents.
01:42That is already a serious problem affecting their mental health.
01:50Nearly two years after the fighting that marked the capture of Goma, the consequences of the conflict
01:54remain visible in the daily lives of many children.
01:58For education teams, the challenge is to provide them with a stable environment in which to learn
02:04while also helping them rebuild their lives.
