00:00The West Indies lost the one-day series to India 2-1, but head coach of the team Darren
00:05Sami says there are a few areas that they can be proud of.
00:08We came here knowing the quality that India has and to measure ourselves against a quality
00:17team like that and you know we've shown that when we do things consistently well for long
00:28enough we could match the number one team in the world so we'll take a lot of learning
00:37from this.
00:38He also explained how they were able to put together the winning formula.
00:42What we've been talking in the dressing room about batsmen scoring hundreds and batting
00:47deep and putting on partnerships, not losing wickets in clusters, once we did that we had
00:53a very strong chance of winning and you saw it's such a tough place to defend.
01:01You know we scored 300 the first game then 400 and now India scored 350 you know so it shows
01:09that you know one you know you've got to win the toss first you know and then two you got
01:18to you got to be confident that whatever the opposition gets on the surface you could get
01:25it too.
01:25Sami also spoke about Amir Django's approach to matches.
01:29Django is a special case you know he's waited for his opportunity.
01:34I personally have seen the work he's put to his game and I always describe him even when
01:42he was waiting for his opportunity like finishing of them staying ready that is what he's displayed
01:51ever since he's been in the dressing room in all in all formats to him now get it the opportunities
01:59consistently and the way he's gone about it special.
