00:00I associate OwlCat with one thing. Crunchy CRPGs where putting one foot in front of another requires about 50 behind
00:06-the-scenes dice rolls.
00:07But it's now gearing up to release The Expanse, Osiris Reborn, a Mass Effect-y cinematic RPG.
00:12Is it leaving us grognards behind? Thankfully, no.
00:15We will continue to make CRPGs because we love them, said OwlCat co-founder Alexander Michulin in a recent PC
00:20Games End chat.
00:21We want to create the best possible RPGs. We like them, we play them, we get inspired by them, and
00:26we want our games to feel the same.
00:28After all, the studio is now big enough to handle CRPGs and other genres at the same time.
00:32It recently beefed up to 600 employees. For a little perspective, Larian has over 500, while Obsidian is in the
00:38low 200s.
00:39I think OwlCat's CRPG bona fides are going to be okay.
