00:00We kind of just alluded to this how you sometimes will see a South Carolina game, at least for myself.
00:08Wow, Beamer's too good of a coach, man.
00:10He probably gets his boys up.
00:12And I thought that when they played Miss Dayton, it was true for a half, and then they completely collapsed.
00:18And then going into the Bama game, I kind of had asked myself that question and said,
00:26he doesn't deserve that type of thought.
00:30I shouldn't be like, oh, no, Beamer will cover this number.
00:34I'm not sure he's going to last here.
00:37And things have now, I think, officially imploded, and Beamer is going to get fired out of South Carolina.
00:42I'm almost certain of it.
00:44Step one, well, not step one, but the first domino was the Dylan Stewart sideline meltdown,
00:53punches a Bama player, refuses to come off the field.
00:57He's arguing with coaches, so they suspend him.
01:01And I understand you have to do something.
01:06But I will tell you, Dave, my guess is the South Carolina locker room is not going to rally around
01:16the suspension of their most talented defensive player.
01:19I understand they had to do something, but, like, I don't think the fellow edge rushers are going to be
01:26like,
01:26yeah, let's show them we don't need Dylan.
01:28That's crazy.
01:29So don't blame them.
01:30So we'll start there.
01:31I don't think that's good.
01:33No, and you have to suspend them or do something, bench them for the first half.
01:37I know they wound up suspending them for the game because you can't have that.
01:40You can't have a player refuse to come out of the game, and you can't have a player punching another
01:45player,
01:45although you'd argue which one's worse than the other.
01:47The era is over there in South Carolina with Beamer.
01:50We were in agreement there.
01:51We saw this coming a couple of weeks ago.
01:53We talked about they blew a 16-0 lead to Mississippi State.
01:57You get crushed by Alabama.
01:58I'm all over Kentucky today for a thousand different reasons,
02:02none of which is actually the fact that South Carolina, their players want to leave.
02:07Their players don't want to be there anymore.
02:08First of all, I think Kentucky is the better team.
02:11South Carolina's statistical profile is literally a picture-perfect example of misleading statistics.
02:17Don't look at what their overall numbers are because their out-of-conference wins were Kent State and Townsend by
02:23a combined 102-9.
02:25In the SEC, they started 0-2 by blowing a 16-0 lead versus Mississippi State and getting blown out
02:31by Alabama.
02:32So you could say, hey, they're 48th in the country in total defense.
02:35They've also allowed 441 yards and 40 points in their two SEC losses.
02:40So they ranked 15th of 16 teams in the SEC in defensive EPA allowed in conference play and 112th nationally
02:48in their four games overall.
02:49They've allowed more than seven yards per play through two conference games and host a Kentucky team that is actually
02:56really good.
02:57But, Kevin, if you take out the one half that they had against Alabama, the second half, keep in mind,
03:03they had a halftime lead against Alabama.
03:05If you take out that one second half where they allowed, oh, I don't know, 32 unanswered points, the Wildcats
03:12have been pretty good this year.
03:13They went up and beat A&M in College Station for one of the bigger upsets of the wins of
03:17the season.
03:18They're 3-1 with Will Stein.
03:20It's not out of the question that they challenge for a pretty good ball.
03:24I'm not going to throw the playoff in the mix yet.
03:26You're way too far away from that.
03:28But I think the wrong team is favored here.
03:30Now, I will say I grabbed this at three and a half earlier this week.
03:34It is down to two and a half.
03:35That's a tremendous difference.
03:37I'm not going to deny that.
03:38I also have them winning outright in a Moneyline parlay that I gave out on prize picks.
03:44Kentucky is the better side here.
03:46And to be honest, Kevin, I was surprised they were getting points at all.
03:49I don't care that the game's in Columbia.
03:51That's not a good South Carolina team.
03:54Their quarterback might get benched.
03:56Their best defensive player's been suspended.
03:58Like, it's not a good situation.
04:01And I was actually surprised Kentucky was getting points, to be honest.
04:05For anybody who's wondering, hey, is Dave saying their quarterback might get benched as an opinion?
04:11Nope.
04:12That is all of the reporting this morning.
04:16Is that Lenora Sellers could be benched?
04:19Pete Dammel of ESPN reporting that their backup, Cutter Woods, received an uptick in first team reps.
04:26The article went on to say that it was the theme of the week for South Carolina.
04:30It was all about competition, while also sending a message to Sellers that he has to play better.
04:35And this is where I find this all to be a complete and utter disaster.
04:41So you bench Dylan, you suspend Dylan Stewart, and you let Sellers know you might be benched.
