00:00We've been rocking the Bluetooth speaker. I mean, when the windows are all up, it's good enough.
00:05We have a backpack on our truck.
00:35All right, I'm Maury from Kill Us Online. This is our Ford Expedition 1999. This is what we tour with.
00:42I'm going to show you around.
00:44So, you know, this is the front seat. We got three front seats, three back seats. Right now we have
00:51the armrest down. Gotta have the white monsters, you know.
00:56White Monster Monday. White Monster Monday every day. This is Sean.
00:59What's up, y'all?
01:00Bass player in Kill Us Online. Does most of the driving, it seems like.
01:06That's right.
01:06Drove like five of the six hours on the way to Chicago. Sean does most of the driving, but we
01:11all share driving duties.
01:15I drove some of the way to Chicago yesterday. Music. We usually have a Bluetooth transmitter, but this time we
01:25forgot it.
01:25So we've been rocking the Bluetooth speaker. I mean, when the windows are all up, it's good enough.
01:33As far as music, it's kind of just like whoever wants to play music. We're not really too strict about
01:38that.
01:38We all commonly, generally like the same music. Sometimes.
01:47Yeah, we listen to a lot of Vane and Code Orange because that's what I feel like, you know, the
01:53heavy part of our sound is really influenced by.
01:56But honestly, when I have the aux, I'm constantly just playing sad in the music.
02:02So, you know, I feel like people are down with it to a point, and then there always comes a
02:05point in tour where they're like,
02:06I'm not trying to listen to this sad shit anymore. But yeah, I'm trying to think of, I mean, late
02:13at night, I'll play a lot of jazz.
02:15Late at night, I'll play a lot of like jazz fusion or jazz, a lot of like old school rap,
02:20like Mobb Deep and like, you know, oh, Joey Badass.
02:24We like Joey Badass, too.
02:26Yeah, I don't usually play music. I'm not going to lie.
02:29I don't, my phone be dying. Like, I'm just trying to drive. I'm like, kind of a, don't listen to
02:36music while driving if I'm by myself.
02:38Yeah.
02:38So, I don't really care about the music while driving.
02:41Yeah.
02:41Two of our members also like work while they're in the car.
02:45Yeah.
02:45Or it being one of them.
02:46So, remote job, life, you know, how that goes.
02:50But as far as like, co-passenger rules, we're not too strict about it during the day.
02:56But at night, we try to have the passenger be awake at all times.
03:01So, it's not just the driver, you know.
03:05Other than that, yeah, the co-passenger also gives directions like GPS.
03:11Yep.
03:11That's their responsibility, the navigator.
03:14We cap our night drives at two hours, too.
03:17Yeah, two hours.
03:19Two or three hours max for the night drives.
03:22But sometimes we do have to drive up to the show.
03:24So, it's just dependent on where we're going next.
03:26This is Theo.
03:27It's our drummer.
03:29The back seat, this is like where if you're working, that's where we're working.
03:34Me and Max have remote jobs.
03:36Theo's in school.
03:36So, if we have some shit to do, this is pretty much where we're going to do it and not
03:41be the navigator
03:41and do all the responsibilities that come with that.
03:45Yeah, if you've got to take a nap, this is the place to do it, too.
03:48Also, yeah, if you want to take a nap, usually we have some pillows in here, but...
03:51Yeah, this pillow right here right now, if I need to take a nap, there we go.
03:55We also have like a portable hotspot thing.
03:58So, like, if we need Wi-Fi, we're kind of like just self-sufficient.
04:02Like, while we're driving, we can do whatever we need.
04:04We got our power right here.
04:06Everything can charge on this.
04:11Yeah, but other than that, I mean, we do have some snacks back here and like...
04:17Some CDs.
04:18Some CDs.
04:19Honestly, we're probably going to give you one of these, but this is our latest album that came out last
04:24year around this time.
04:26Eleven tracks.
04:27They're our debut.
04:28It's called What You Get Away With.
04:30Selling these at the shows.
04:34We got some cameras.
04:36We've been vlogging this tour a little bit.
04:38We got a couple.
04:39We got a GoPro.
04:40We got this old Digicam.
04:43Yeah, we got some snacks back here.
04:45My protein drinks.
04:47We got to stay up on my protein.
04:49We got some stuff to clean the truck.
04:52Some electrolytes I got so we don't die out in the heat on this tour.
04:57Yeah.
04:58Honestly, we're hitting a lot of Chipotles.
04:59That's kind of like our go-to on the road, but this tour, we're trying to like hit some grocery
05:06stores to try to save some money.
05:09Honestly, not buy three meals a day.
05:12But yeah, that's pretty much it for the backseat.
05:15I mean, we got some cup holders back here too.
05:19You know, when we get some drinks, but yeah, that's pretty much it though.
05:23This is Max, our guitar player.
05:26You might know him because we have a song named Max.
05:29It was named after him.
05:30You know what I'm saying?
05:33Yeah.
05:34In the back, we have a backpack on our truck.
05:38This is our pride and joy.
05:39Yeah.
05:40This is like how we really make everything work.
05:42We have our merch in here.
05:44I think the snare drum is in here right now.
05:47Yep.
05:47And yeah, we just like pack it, put it on.
05:50It stays on.
05:51It's never fallen off.
05:53Never gave us any problems.
05:54I think we've done like three tours with this now.
05:57So yeah, that's pretty sick.
05:59No, we've never been pulled over or anything.
06:02Honestly, sometimes we have like our license plate in here.
06:06Like a photocopy of it or something.
06:08Or a photocopy of it, but like we haven't done that for like the past two tours and no problems.
06:12I mean, you can still see the plate if you're like at a distance to go fully legal.
06:20But yeah, we got four bags of merch in here and then the snare drum and then a box of
06:24just like miscellaneous stickers and stuff.
06:26We've got all our personal equipment like sleeping stuff, clothes, duffels, duffels, suitcases, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, all that.
06:38The backpack is only merch.
06:40So if somebody were to take that, I mean, they just have a bunch of our shirts and totes and
06:45stuff like that.
06:46Not really very useful.
06:47But also when we park the car at night, wherever we are, we take the backpack off and put it
06:52in the back seat.
06:53So it's locked up and the windows are tinted.
06:57So you can't really see it.
06:58Just when you look in, it kind of just looks like blackness.
07:00It's a void.
07:02As far as the topper, it's locked up and it's like secured to the top.
07:07So you also can't get into that.
07:09But also when we're parked and we like are staying where we are, or if we're where we are staying,
07:15then it's empty.
07:17So it's only full if we're in the car and around the car.
07:22And then, yeah.
07:24All the equipment's in the back with the tinted windows.
07:27Yeah.
07:28All the equipment's in the back with the tinted windows.
07:30We take out the most important stuff.
07:32Like we take the guitars out.
07:34Just anything that is highly valuable.
07:37Yeah.
07:37And like can be portable.
07:39Like nobody's going to take a fucking base amp.
07:42412.
07:42Yeah.
07:43It's like heavy as fuck.
07:44Most of our equipment is also like on the more reasonable side of things.
07:49So we don't really expect people to like try and snag it.
07:53All right.
07:53Theo and I lift.
07:54It's a four-person job to get this thing off of here.
07:58All right, Rory.
07:59Are you ready?
08:023, 2, 1.
08:09And this is the single back of the ball?
08:11Nope.
08:12Fuck yeah.
08:13So we got everything in here.
08:15We backline kits for all our shows.
08:18We even got a cinder block, bass amp, guitar amp, guitar cab, guitars.
08:24We got the guitars in here.
08:26Yeah, the guitars at the place we're crashing.
08:28It goes right here though.
08:29Yeah.
08:31But yeah, everything, like we aren't compromising anything on this tour.
08:36We have everything that we need.
08:37Everything that we would usually play at a local show in Minneapolis, we have in this
08:41car right now and we travel with it.
08:44So pretty, pretty nice.
08:46Yeah.
08:46So, okay, we have a system, like everything has to go where it's supposed to go.
08:52Actually, before we left yesterday, we tried to like invert the pack and it did not work.
08:58So we ended up taking everything out and putting it back in.
09:02I had to like reference photos from our last tour last year to make sure that we got it in
09:07the right spot.
09:08But yeah, it's definitely, it's a tight pack, but we make it work.
09:14You got to put it back exactly the same way every single time.
09:17There's no like...
09:18Same order of operations.
09:20Yeah.
09:21It has to be the right order right in the right spot.
09:23I think like by like the second show, we all know it to the sea.
09:27Yeah.
09:27We know what to do.
09:28Yeah.
09:29All right.
09:30So we are Kill Us Online.
09:31If you want to find us, Kill Us Online on all platforms.
09:35We also have a website, www.killusonline.com.
09:39We're on tour right now.
09:41We'll be in the Midwest and East Coast for like 10 days.
09:46We just had two songs that just came out.
09:49They're called Who's With Me and These Days.
09:52Check them out.
09:53We also have an EP coming out at the end of June.
10:27See you next time.
10:29You
