00:00Hello, very good morning to you. We've made it to the weekend and through much of it there will be
00:05a fair amount of dry weather to be had, but it's not going to be totally dry.
00:09The front that has pushed across much of the country through yesterday and overnight, that's now lingering across southern areas.
00:16And further north, there's a bit of rain at times through today. Lots of dry weather though.
00:21And then as we look towards Sunday, we're under the influence of a low pressure.
00:24It's actually towards Iceland, but nonetheless, the trailing front from it will be bringing wet weather across northern parts of
00:31the UK and there'll be strong winds here further southward under the influence of high pressure.
00:36Looking at the details then through this morning, central southern parts, there's quite a bit of cloud around, a few
00:41outbreaks of rain, all of that shifting a bit further southward.
00:45So turning brighter across those central areas, but the cloud lingering in the southeast.
00:49The rain doesn't look particularly heavy, but watch out for a few perhaps hefty showers developing across parts of the
00:56southwest through this afternoon.
00:58Also a few outbreaks of showery rain across much of Scotland, especially in the north and west.
01:03But in between, for many areas, well, there's a lot of dry, sunny weather to be had.
01:08And with some relatively warm air across us, temperatures are generally going to be a few degrees above average for
01:14the time of year in the southeast,
01:15getting to the low 20s, elsewhere mid to high teens Celsius.
01:19A few further outbreaks of showery rain to come through this evening across parts of Scotland in the southeast.
01:25We'll still have a bit of cloud, a bit of rain, but that will clear away.
01:28And then we end up through the night with a bit of a northwest-southeast split developing towards the northwest
01:34across Scotland, Northern Ireland.
01:35Cloud will push in as that front arrives that I mentioned earlier.
01:38And that will also bring some wet weather to northern parts of Northern Ireland, western parts of Scotland later in
01:44the night, with strengthening winds as well.
01:46For the bulk of England and Wales, though, it's a much quieter picture.
01:49Lots of clear skies.
01:50And as a result, we're going to see temperatures dropping a bit chillier than last night.
01:55As a result, we could see some mist and fog developing, especially in the southeast.
01:58Now, it's going to be Sunday morning, so fewer cars on the roads.
02:02But particularly if this was a weekday morning, then we could see some impacts from the fog.
02:06Nonetheless, it's something to watch out for if you are heading out early on tomorrow.
02:11Further north and west with the unsettled weather, well, it's going to be milder than last night.
02:16More cloudy, wet and windy weather to come across many parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland through tomorrow.
02:22The heaviest rain will be across western parts of Scotland.
02:24Could be some significant rainfall totals building up and the risk of gales in a few places too.
02:30Meanwhile, for much of England and Wales, away from the far north, it's looking like a dry, bright, largely sunny
02:35day, to be honest.
02:36And with that then, temperatures, if anything, up a degree or so compared to today.
02:41So highs are 22, 23, possibly 24 Celsius towards the southeast, even towards the northwest.
02:47Well, temperatures are above average for early October here, but feeling a bit more unpleasant with the cloud, the rain
02:53and the strong gusty winds.
02:55The north-south divide continues into the beginning of next week, so wetter towards the north, dry towards the south.
03:01But a bit of rain will arrive further south.
