00:00Well, we'll hopefully carve out some time here to get to everyone else.
00:04But while we're on May, Mike, what do you make of the –
00:08there's two stories now that are sort of gaining momentum in the narrative world.
00:13One is there's a shoulder problem that dates back to these playoffs
00:18you're referencing from last January and February.
00:21And then there's the relationship between he and his head coach, Mike Vrabel.
00:26So the shoulder story first, because I know it's at least reached the point
00:30where Mike Vrabel's being asked about it at the podium.
00:34Is that smoke? Is there something there?
00:37How do you read that part of the story?
00:40So the whole thing has been very interesting in the way it's evolved.
00:43You know, you mentioned the injury happened in the AFC Championship game against Denver.
00:47He needed to shoot up the shoulder to play in the Super Bowl.
00:51Although, again, I was told at the time and then told afterwards,
00:54there was nothing structurally wrong with the shoulder.
00:57Now they could be BSing me and whatever.
00:59He just was – he was dealing with some pain and some stiffness.
01:02And this was the best way to let him be what he had been for the better part of the
01:07year.
01:07And then you had the entire offseason.
01:09We saw him never miss a day in the spring or summer.
01:13He threw the ball very well this summer.
01:16Like, this is the part of it, I think.
01:18You know, people are like, you guys told us he was ready to make the leap.
01:21I'm like, well, if you watched him in the summer like we did every day,
01:23you would have thought the same thing.
01:25Like, he looked really good this summer.
01:27Not perfect, but, like, more calm, more confident,
01:31delivering the ball with accuracy on time, the whole thing, right?
01:34He's just like, couldn't have predicted this thing was going to happen.
01:38And then now this week it's been the development.
01:40Like, after the game, is there something wrong with your shoulder?
01:42A lot of words that he used to answer those questions.
01:45Didn't say yes.
01:46He didn't say no.
01:48Next day on the radio, same thing.
01:49Didn't say yes.
01:50Didn't say no.
01:51Yesterday we were in front of him, and I said, look,
01:54this is a yes or no question.
01:55I'm not trying to be a jerk, but, like, can you –
01:58is your shoulder affecting how you're throwing the ball?
02:00And he said no.
02:01He said – and if you look at the way I'm playing,
02:04it's my decision-making.
02:06And that, you know, that had nothing to do with my shoulder.
02:09But then Josh McDaniels, the offensive coordinator, is like, well,
02:12I think he got dinged up in the game on Sunday.
02:14So, you know, like, I don't know.
02:16It's the first time he's been on the injury report this year.
02:20But this came after he said he didn't think there was any issues,
02:23and May said himself, no, definitively, my shoulder is fine.
02:27So, I don't know.
02:28I don't know if they're playing games.
02:29I don't know if they're appeasing him because maybe he feels like he's on an
02:32island with this thing.
02:34But whatever it is, it is.
02:35I can just tell you, like, even though he didn't play well against Jacksonville,
02:38he still ripped a handful of throws that if he had a shoulder problem,
02:42he couldn't do, you know.
02:44So, that's the way I look at it.
