00:09They want, of course, the UK cash cow back in the door, given, for instance, the Germans are very unhappy
00:15at the amount they're going to have to cough up to the EU's proposed two trillion, trillion euro budget.
00:24But what I think Andy Burnham's bizarre speech yesterday, I have to say, you know, I found it very, very
00:29strange how a prime minister who supposedly isn't going to call the election for years to come still and has
00:36such a big parliamentary majority spoke very little about what he's going to do in the medium and short term.
00:44But actually, everything was about the next parliament, wasn't it? Did you notice that? And for me, it confirmed that
00:48we are heading for an early election.
00:51But look, Labour all over the place. Consider the fact of just a few short days ago that the Business
00:58Secretary, Jonathan Reynolds, warning against rejoining the customs union.
01:04Indeed, speaking out against opening, reopening the debate of EU membership completely.
01:11And it shows you, I think, the degree to which Labour are all over the place on this.
01:15It also brings into question, of course, Andy Burnham's level of honesty, given this is what he said back in
01:25May.
01:25I'm not proposing that the UK considers rejoining the EU.
01:29I respect the decision that was made at the referendum and it's going to undermine everything I've said about strengthening
01:36democracy if we don't respect that vote.
01:39And yet fast forward to September and his tone has changed somewhat, hasn't it?
01:45Will those options include rejoining the European Union?
01:50Well, we will set the options out later this year.
01:53George Osborne recently called for Britain to look at rejoining the customs union.
01:57The Liberal Democrats called for the single market to be looked at as an option.
02:02And obviously there is the big option, which would be to rejoin.
02:05So, yeah, you know, will the real Andy Burnham please stand up?
02:09Two completely different statements given months apart.
02:12And I think this is going to severely backfire on Labour pretty sharpish.
02:19We've beaten them before on Brexit.
02:21If they really want to have this row again, we'll beat them again.
