00:22The United States and other donors cut funding to UNHCR by 24 percent last year from 5.2 billion to

00:33This year, UNHCR received just 32 percent of the 8.5 billion dollars it needs.
00:39At the same time, more people need help.
00:42UNHCR expects the number of people under its mandate to reach 131.2 million by the end of the year,
00:50up from 129.4 million at the end of 2025.
00:55The agency has already cut its workforce by a third, closed offices in 140 locations and ended operations in 15
