Published September 21, 2026, this study combines Einstein Probe X-ray observations with LHAASO gamma-ray data. The X-ray tail near pulsar PSR J1740+1000 extends about 42 light-years and points in the same direction as ultra-high-energy gamma-ray emission. The observations support the idea that energetic particles can keep moving in a preferred direction for tens of light-years.

The particles are inferred from their radiation, not directly photographed, and researchers have not established what guides them. Checked September 23, 2026.
