ESA's Huygens probe traveled with NASA's Cassini spacecraft. In January 2005, three different parachutes deployed in sequence to slow Huygens through Titan's orange atmosphere. Huygens reached the surface and sent science data up to Cassini, which relayed the data toward Earth. Cassini received signals from Titan's surface for 72 minutes.
Visuals are original illustrations reconstructing the Huygens descent and relay.
