Archaeologists investigating Cortijo Lobato in southern Spain uncovered an extraordinary Roman-period burial inside a fortress that had been built roughly 5,000 years earlier.
The young adult man was buried face-down, and a Roman pugio dagger was found with him. Spain's regional heritage authority describes him as a possible legionary.
