00:18Almost all our treatment centers are completely full.
00:22The proposal is for each health zone to have an isolation center or treatment centers so
00:27that all incoming cases can be cared for.
00:33Despite experiencing repeated outbreaks, mistrust of health workers remains deeply rooted in
00:39Congo, a hostility that experts say continues to drive the virus's spread.
00:48There is strong resistance within the community.
00:52If we want to move forward and bring the epidemic under control, the community must support our
00:57efforts.
00:58As long as this resistance remains high, more cases are being managed within the
01:03community and we often only detect them after the patients have died.
01:08In rural North Kivu, the Mbalako General Hospital serves as the only point of treatment for those
01:14infected with Ebola.
01:16But its capacity is too small for the task.
01:20The outbreak has now spread to seven provinces in Congo and 63 health zones.
01:27All 25 cases were tested thanks to research being conducted within our institutions.
01:33So to try to track down all cases, we're thinking about how to strengthen the surveillance team.
01:44The World Health Organization has said the outbreak is on track to surpass the 2014 to 2016 one in
01:52West Africa, the deadliest on record.
