In the year 1095, Muslim power had grown in the east. Pope Urban sent out a plea that the knights of Europe should take a stand against the ‘infidel’ to defend the Holy Land. And so the First Crusade was launched. Let’s travel back in time to the Middle Ages where we meet some of these Crusaders and find out how a sufficient enough food supply was provided for them and the hundreds of trusty steeds that accompanied them on their religious wars to reclaim the Holy Land.
