Like a blockbuster movie, the Bayeux Tapestry has it all – political plots, explicit nudity and graphic violence. It’s an 11th century epic told entirely in thread, charting one of the most famous stories in British history - the Norman Conquest of England, which culminated in the Battle of Hastings on the 14th of October 1066. To celebrate the famous textile artwork being loaned to the British Museum in London for nine months, the first time it’s been in England for a thousand years, we thought we would take a look at this incredible piece of history.
