00:04The first epistle of St. John chapter 1 verses 8 and 9
00:12If we say that we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.
00:19But if we confess our sins God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us
00:26from all unrighteousness.
00:31Dearly beloved brethren, the scripture moves us in sundry places to acknowledge and confess our manifold sins and wickedness.
00:42But that we should not disassemble nor clave them before the face of almighty God our heavenly Father.
00:51But confess them with a humble, lowly, penitent and obedient heart to the end that we may obtain forgiveness of
01:02the same by his infinite goodness and mercy.
01:07And although we ought at all times humbly to acknowledge our sins before God, yet ought we chiefly so to
01:15do when we assemble and meet together to render thanks for the great benefits we have received at his hands.
01:23To set forth his most worthy praise, to hear his most holy word, and to ask those things which are
01:32requisite and necessary, as well for the body as the soul.
01:39Wherefore I pray and beseech you, as many as are here present, to accompany me with a pure heart and
01:47humble voice to the throne of the heavenly grace, saying after me.
01:55Almighty and most merciful Father, we have erred and strayed from thy ways like lost sheep.
02:04We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts.
02:11We have offended against thy holy laws.
02:16We have left undone those things which we ought to have done.
02:21And we have done those things we ought not to have done.
02:25And there is no health in us.
02:29But thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us, miserable offenders.
02:35Spare thou them, O God, who confess their faults.
02:39Restore thou those who are penitent,
02:43according to thy promises declared unto mankind in Christ Jesus our Lord.
02:50And grant, O most merciful Father, for his sake, that we may hereafter live a godly, righteous, and sober life.
02:59To the glory of thy holy name.
03:03Amen.
03:06Almighty God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who desireth not the death of a sinner,
03:13but rather that he turn from his wickedness and live,
03:18and has given power and commandment to his ministers to declare and pronounce to his people,
03:24being penitent, the absolution and remission of their sins.
03:32He pardoneth and absolve it all who truly repent and unfainly believe his holy gospel.
03:43Wherefore, let us beseech him to grant us true repentance and his holy spirit,
03:49that those things may please him which we do at this present,
03:54and that the rest of our life hereafter may be pure and holy,
03:58so that at the last we may come to his eternal joy.
04:03Through Jesus Christ our Lord.
04:08Amen.
04:12Our Father, which art in heaven,
04:14hallowed be thy name.
04:16Thy kingdom come.
04:18Thy will be done as it is in heaven.
04:22Give us this day our daily bread,
04:25and forgive us our trespasses,
04:27as we forgive them that trespass against us.
04:32And lead us not into temptation,
04:34but deliver us from evil,
04:36for thine is the kingdom,
04:38the power and the glory,
04:40for ever and ever.
04:42Amen.
04:46O Lord, open our lips,
04:49and our mouth shall show forth thy praise.
04:55O God, make speed to save us.
04:59O Lord, make haste to help us.
05:05Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost,
05:09as it was in the beginning,
05:12is now, and ever shall be,
05:14world without end.
05:17Amen.
05:20Praise ye the Lord.
05:23The Lord's name be praised.
05:27O come, let us sing unto the Lord,
05:31and let us heartily rejoice
05:32in the strength of our salvation.
05:36Let us come before his presence
05:38with thanksgiving,
05:40and show ourselves glad in him with psalms.
05:44For the Lord is a great God,
05:46and a great King above all gods.
05:50In his hand are all the corners of the earth,
05:53and the strength of the hills is his also.
05:57The sea is his, and he made it,
05:59and his hands prepared the dry land.
06:03O come, let us worship, and hold home,
06:06and kneel before the Lord, our Maker.
06:10For he is the Lord our God,
06:13and we are the people of his pasture,
06:15and the sheep of his hand.
06:19Today, if you will hear his voice,
06:22harden not your hearts,
06:24as in the provocation,
06:25and as in the day of temptation
06:28in the wilderness.
06:30When our fathers tempted us,
06:33proved us,
06:34and saw our works.
06:37Forty years long,
06:38I was grieved with this generation,
06:40and said,
06:41It is a people that do err in their hearts,
06:44and they have not known my ways.
06:48Unto whom I swore in my wrath,
06:50that they should not enter into my rest.
06:55Glory be to the Father,
06:57and to the Son,
06:58and to the Holy Ghost,
06:59as it was in the beginning,
07:01is now,
07:02and ever shall be,
07:04world without end.
07:07Amen.
07:14Psalm 19
07:17The heavens declare the glory of God,
07:20and the firmament showeth his handiwork.
07:23One day telleth another,
07:25and one night certifieth another.
07:29There is neither speech nor language,
07:31but their voices are heard among them.
07:35Their sound is gone out
07:37into all the lands,
07:39and their words
07:40into the ends of the world.
07:44In them hath he set a tabernacle for the Son,
07:47which cometh forth as a bridegroom
07:50out of his chamber,
07:51and rejoices at the giant
07:53to run his course.
07:55It goeth forth from the uttermost part of heaven,
07:58and runneth about
07:59until the end of it again.
08:02And there is nothing heath
08:03from the heat thereof.
08:06The law of the Lord
08:08is an undefiled law,
08:09converting the soul.
08:12The testimony of the Lord
08:14is sure,
08:15and giveth wisdom
08:16unto the simple.
08:18The statutes of the Lord
08:20are right,
08:20and rejoice the heart.
08:22The commandment of the Lord
08:23is pure,
08:24and giveth light
08:25unto the eyes.
08:28The fear of the Lord
08:29is clean,
08:30and endureth forever.
08:32The judgments of the Lord
08:33are true,
08:34and righteous altogether.
08:37More to be desired are they
08:39than gold,
08:40yea,
08:41than much fine gold,
08:43sweeter also than honey,
08:45and the honeycomb.
08:47Moreover,
08:48by them
08:49is thy servant
08:50taught,
08:51and in the keeping of them
08:52there is great reward.
08:54Who can tell
08:56how oft he offendeth,
08:58or cleanse thou me
08:59from my secret false?
09:02keep thy servant
09:03also from presumptuous sins,
09:06lest they get the dominion
09:08over me.
09:09So shall I be undefiled
09:11and innocent
09:12from the great offense.
09:15that the words of my mouth
09:17and the meditations
09:18of my heart
09:19be always acceptable
09:21in thy sight,
09:22O Lord,
09:23my strength
09:23and my redeemer.
09:26Glory be to the Father
09:28and to the Son
09:29and to the Holy Ghost,
09:31as it was in the beginning,
09:33is now,
09:33and ever shall be,
09:35world without end.
09:37Amen.
09:40Psalm 20
09:43The Lord hear thee
09:45in the day of trouble.
09:46The name of the God of Jacob
09:48defend thee.
09:50Send thee help
09:51from the sanctuary
09:52and strengthen thee
09:53out of Zion.
09:56Remember all thy burnt offerings
09:58and accept
09:59thy burnt sacrifice.
10:01Grant thee thy heart's desire
10:03and fulfill
10:04all thy mind.
10:07We will rejoice
10:08in thy salvation
10:09and triumph
10:11in the name
10:11of the Lord our God.
10:14The Lord perform
10:15all thy petitions.
10:18Now know I
10:19that the Lord helpeth
10:20his anointed
10:21and will hear him
10:22from his holy heaven,
10:24even with the wholesome strength
10:26of his right hand.
10:29Some put their trust
10:31in chariots
10:31and some in horses,
10:32but we will remember
10:34the name of the Lord
10:35our God.
10:37They are brought down
10:39and fallen,
10:40but we are risen
10:42and stand upright.
10:44Save, Lord,
10:45and hear us,
10:46O King of heaven,
10:47when we call upon him.
10:50Glory be to the Father
10:52and to the Son
10:53and to the Holy Ghost,
10:55as it was in the beginning,
10:56is now,
10:57and ever shall be,
10:59world without end.
11:01Amen.
11:03Psalm 21
11:06The King shall rejoice
11:08in thy strength, O Lord.
11:10Exceeding glad
11:11shall he be of thy salvation.
11:14Thou hast given him
11:16his heart's desire
11:17and hast not denied him
11:19the request of his lips.
11:21For thou shalt prevent him
11:24with the blessings of goodness
11:26and shall set a crown of pure gold
11:29upon his head.
11:31He asks the life of thee
11:33and thou gavest him a long life
11:35even for ever and ever.
11:38His honour is great
11:40in thy salvation,
11:41glory and great worship
11:43that thou lay upon him.
11:45For thou shalt give him
11:47everlasting felicity
11:49and make him glad
11:51with the joy
11:52of thy confidence.
11:53And why?
11:54Because the King
11:56putteth his trust
11:57in the Lord
11:57and in the mercy
11:59of the Most Highest
12:00he shall not miscarry.
12:03All thine enemies
12:05shall feel thine hand.
12:06Thy right hand
12:07shall find them out
12:09that hate thee.
12:11Thou shalt make them
12:13like a fiery oven
12:14in the time of thy wrath.
12:16The Lord shall destroy them
12:17in his displeasure
12:18and the fire shall consume them.
12:22Their fruit
12:23shall thou root out
12:24of the earth
12:25and their seed
12:26from amongst the children of men.
12:29For they intended
12:30mischief against thee
12:32and imagined such a device
12:33as they are not able
12:35to perform.
12:37Therefore shalt thou
12:38put them to flight
12:39and the strings of thy bow
12:41shalt thou make ready
12:43against the face of them.
12:46Be thou exalted, O Lord,
12:48in thine own strength
12:49so we will sing
12:51and praise thy power.
12:53Glory be to the Father
12:55and to the Son
12:56and to the Holy Ghost.
12:58As it was in the beginning
13:00is now and ever shall be
13:01world without end.
13:04Amen.
13:08The prophet Amos
13:09chapter 9
13:12I saw the Lord
13:13standing beside the altar
13:15and he said
13:16strike the tops
13:18of the pillars
13:18that the thresholds
13:20may shake
13:21break them in pieces
13:23on the head
13:23of all of them.
13:25I will kill
13:26the last man of them
13:27with the sword
13:28and there will not be one
13:30that flees away.
13:32There shall not
13:33anyone escape.
13:35Though they dig into
13:36Sheol
13:37there my hand
13:38will take them
13:39and though they
13:41climb up into heaven
13:42there I will
13:43bring them down.
13:45Though they hide themselves
13:46in the top of Carmel
13:48I will search
13:49and take them
13:51out there
13:52and though they
13:53may be hidden
13:54from my sight
13:55in the bottom
13:56of the sea
13:57I will command
13:58the serpent
13:59and it will
14:00bite them.
14:02Though they go
14:03into captivity
14:04before their enemies
14:05there I will
14:06command the sword
14:07and it will
14:08kill them.
14:09I will set
14:10my eyes on them
14:11for evil
14:12and not for good.
14:14For the Lord
14:15Yahweh of Amis
14:16is he who
14:17touches the land
14:18and it melts
14:20and all who dwell
14:21in it will mourn
14:22and it will rise up
14:24wholly like the river
14:25and will sink again
14:27like the river
14:28of Egypt.
14:29It is he who
14:31builds his rooms
14:31in the heavens
14:32and has found
14:34it his vault
14:34on the earth.
14:36He who calls
14:37for the waters
14:38of the sea
14:39and pours them
14:40out on the surface
14:41of the earth.
14:43Yahweh
14:43is his name.
14:46Are you not
14:47like the children
14:48of the Ethiopians
14:49to me,
14:50children of Israel?
14:52Asks Yahweh.
14:54Haven't I brought up
14:55Israel out
14:56of the land
14:57of Egypt,
14:58the Philistines
14:59from Kapthor
15:00and the Syrians
15:01from Kir?
15:04Behold,
15:05the eyes of the
15:06Lord Yahweh
15:06are on the
15:07sinful kingdom
15:08and I will
15:09destroy it
15:10from the surface
15:11of the earth.
15:13Except
15:14that I will not
15:15utterly destroy
15:16the house of Jacob,
15:18says Yahweh,
15:19for behold,
15:20I will command
15:21that I will sift
15:22the house of Israel
15:23among the nations
15:24as grain is
15:26sifted in a sieve.
15:28Yet not the least
15:29kernel will fall
15:30to the earth.
15:32All the sinners
15:33of my people
15:34will die by the sword
15:35who say,
15:37Evil will not
15:38overtake
15:39or meet us.
15:41In that day
15:42I will raise up
15:42the tent of David
15:43who is fallen
15:44and close up
15:46its breaches
15:46and I will raise up
15:47its ruins.
15:49I will build it
15:50as in the days
15:51of old
15:52that it may possess
15:53the remnant
15:54of Edom
15:54and all the nations
15:56who are called
15:57by my name,
15:58says Yahweh
15:59who does this.
16:02Behold,
16:02the days come,
16:03says Yahweh,
16:04that the ploughman
16:05shall overtake
16:06the reaper
16:06and the one
16:07treading the grapes
16:08him who sows
16:09the seed.
16:10And sweet wine
16:12will drip from
16:12the mountains
16:13and flow from
16:14the hills.
16:15I will bring
16:16my people Israel
16:17back from captivity
16:18and they will
16:19rebuild the ruined
16:20cities and
16:21inhabit them.
16:22They will make
16:23and plant vineyards
16:25and drink wine
16:26from them.
16:27They shall make
16:28gardens and eat
16:29their fruit.
16:29I will plant
16:31them on their land
16:31and they will
16:32no more be plucked
16:33up out of the land
16:34that I have given
16:35to them,
16:36says the Lord
16:37Yahweh,
16:38your God.
16:40This is the
16:42word of the Lord.
16:44Thanks be to God.
16:52We praise thee,
16:54O God.
16:54We acknowledge thee
16:56to be the Lord.
16:57All the earth
16:59does worship thee,
17:00the Father
17:01everlasting.
17:03To thee,
17:04all angels
17:05cry aloud,
17:06the heavens
17:07and all the powers
17:08therein.
17:10To thee,
17:11cherubim
17:11and seraphim
17:12continually do cry,
17:15Holy,
17:16Holy,
17:16Holy,
17:17Lord God
17:18of Surveil,
17:19heaven and earth
17:21are full
17:21of the majesty
17:23of thy glory.
17:25The glorious
17:27company of the
17:28apostles,
17:29praise thee.
17:30The goodly
17:31fellowship of the
17:32prophets,
17:33praise thee.
17:34The noble army
17:36of martyrs,
17:37praise thee.
17:39The holy church
17:40throughout all the world
17:41does acknowledge thee.
17:43The father of an infinite
17:45majesty,
17:47thine honourable,
17:48true and only son.
17:50Also the holy ghost,
17:52the comforter.
17:54Thou art the king of glory,
17:56O Christ.
17:57Thou art the everlasting
17:59son of the father.
18:02When thou tookest upon thee
18:04to deliver man,
18:05thou didst not
18:06a bell,
18:07the virgin's womb.
18:09For thou hast overcome
18:11the sharpness of death,
18:13thou didst open the kingdom
18:14of heaven
18:15to all believers.
18:19Thou sittest at the right
18:20hand of God
18:21in the glory of the father.
18:23We believe that thou
18:25shalt come
18:26to be our judge.
18:29We therefore pray thee,
18:30help thy servants,
18:32whom thou hast redeemed
18:33with thy precious blood.
18:36Make them to be numbered
18:37with thy sights
18:38in glory everlasting.
18:42O Lord, save thy people
18:44and bless thine heritage.
18:47Govern them
18:48and lift them up
18:49for ever.
18:50Day by day
18:52we magnify thee
18:53and we worship thy name
18:56ever, world without end.
18:59Vouchsafe, O Lord,
19:00to keep us this day
19:02without sin.
19:03Lord, have mercy upon us,
19:06have mercy upon us.
19:09Lord, let thy mercy
19:10lighten upon us
19:11as our trust is in thee.
19:15O Lord, in thee
19:16have I trusted.
19:17Let me never be confronted.
19:21Glory be to the Father
19:23and to the Son
19:24and to the Holy Spirit
19:25as it was in the beginning
19:27is now and ever shall be
19:29world without end.
19:32Amen.
19:37The epistle to the Ephesians
19:39chapters 4 and 5
19:42Let the one who stole
19:44steal no more,
19:46but rather let him labour
19:47producing with his hands
19:49something that is good
19:50in order that he may have
19:53something to give him
19:54who has need.
19:56Let no corrupt speech
19:57come from your mouth,
19:59but only that which is good
20:01for building up others
20:02as the need may be,
20:05that it may give grace
20:06to those who hear.
20:09Do not grieve
20:10the Holy Spirit of God
20:12in whom you were sealed
20:13for the day of redemption.
20:15Let all bitterness,
20:17wrath, anger,
20:18outcry and slander
20:20be put away from you,
20:21along with all malice.
20:24Be kind to one another,
20:26tender-hearted,
20:27forgiving each other,
20:29just as God also
20:30in Christ forgave you.
20:33Be therefore imitators of God
20:36as beloved children.
20:38Walk in love,
20:40even as Christ has loved you
20:42and gave himself up for us,
20:45an offering,
20:46a sacrifice to God
20:48for a sweet-smelling fragrance.
20:51But sexual immorality
20:54and all uncleanness,
20:55covetousness,
20:57let it not even be mentioned
20:59among you
20:59as it becomes saints,
21:02nor filthiness,
21:03nor foolish talk,
21:05jesting,
21:06which are not appropriate,
21:08but rather giving thanks.
21:11For know one thing for sure
21:13that no sexually immoral person
21:15or unclean person
21:17or covetous person
21:19or an idolater
21:20has any inheritance
21:22with the kingdom
21:23of Christ and God.
21:25Let no one deceive you
21:27with empty words.
21:29For because of these things
21:31the wrath of God
21:32comes on the children
21:33of disobedience.
21:36Therefore don't be
21:37partakers with them.
21:39For once you were darkness,
21:41but now you are light
21:43in the Lord.
21:44Walk as children of light,
21:46for the fruit of the Spirit
21:48is in all goodness
21:49and righteousness
21:50and truth,
21:52proving what is well-pleasing
21:54to the Lord.
21:56Have no fellowship
21:57with the unfruitful deeds
21:59of darkness,
22:00but rather even
22:01reprove them.
22:03For the things
22:04which are done
22:05by them in secret
22:06it is a shame
22:07even to speak of.
22:09But all things
22:11when they are reproved
22:12are revealed
22:13by the light,
22:14for everything
22:15that reveals
22:16is light.
22:19Therefore,
22:19he says,
22:20awake you
22:21who sleep
22:22and arise
22:23from the dead
22:23and Christ
22:24will shine on you.
22:27Therefore,
22:28watch carefully
22:29how you walk,
22:30not as the unwise
22:31but as the wise,
22:33redeeming the time
22:35because the days
22:36are evil.
22:38Do not, therefore,
22:40be foolish,
22:41but understand
22:42what the will
22:42of the Lord is.
22:44Do not be drunken
22:45with wine,
22:46which is dissipation,
22:48but be filled
22:49with the Spirit,
22:50speaking to one another
22:51in psalms,
22:53hymns
22:53and spiritual songs,
22:55singing and making melody
22:57in your heart
22:57to the Lord,
22:59giving thanks
23:00always
23:01concerning all things
23:03in the name
23:03of the Lord Jesus Christ,
23:05to God
23:06even to the Father,
23:09subjecting yourselves
23:10to one another
23:11in the fear of Christ.
23:14Wives,
23:15be subject to your husbands
23:16as to the Lord.
23:19This is the word
23:20of the Lord.
23:22Thanks be to God.
23:31Blessed be the Lord
23:33God of Israel,
23:34for he hath visited
23:36and redeemed his people
23:38and hath raised up
23:39a mighty salvation
23:41for us
23:41in the house
23:42of his servant David.
23:45As he spake
23:46by the mouth
23:47by the mouth
23:47of his holy prophets,
23:48which have since been
23:50since the world began,
23:51that we should be saved
23:53from our enemies
23:54and from the hand
23:55of all that hate us,
23:58to perform
23:59the mercy promised
24:00to our forefathers
24:02and to remember
24:03and to remember
24:03his holy covenant,
24:05to perform the oath
24:07which he swore
24:07to our forefather Abraham
24:09that he would give us,
24:11that would be delivered
24:13out of the hand
24:14of our enemies,
24:15might serve him
24:16without fear,
24:18in holiness
24:19and righteousness
24:20before him
24:21all the days
24:22of our life.
24:24And thou,
24:25child,
24:26shalt be called
24:27the prophet
24:27of the highest,
24:28for thou shalt go
24:29before the face
24:30of the Lord
24:31to prepare his ways,
24:33to give knowledge
24:34of salvation
24:35to his people
24:36for the remission
24:38of their sins,
24:39through the tender mercy
24:41of our God,
24:42whereby the dayspring
24:44from on high
24:45hath visited us,
24:47to give light
24:48to them
24:49that sit in darkness
24:50and in the shadow
24:52of death
24:52and to guide our feet
24:54into the way
24:55of peace.
24:57Glory be to the Father
24:59and to the Son
24:59and to the Holy Ghost
25:01as it was
25:02in the beginning,
25:03is now
25:04and ever shall be,
25:06world without end.
25:07Amen.
25:14I believe
25:16in God
25:17the Father Almighty,
25:19maker of heaven
25:19and earth.
25:21And in Jesus Christ,
25:23his only Son,
25:24our Lord,
25:25who was conceived
25:26by the Holy Ghost,
25:27born of the Virgin Mary,
25:29suffered unto Pontius Pilate,
25:32and crucified dead
25:33and buried.
25:34He descended
25:36into hell
25:36the third day
25:38he rose again
25:39from the dead.
25:40He ascended
25:41into heaven
25:42and seated
25:43on the right hand
25:45of God
25:45the Father Almighty.
25:47From thence
25:48he shall come
25:49to judge
25:50the quick
25:50and the dead.
25:52I believe
25:53in the Holy Ghost,
25:54the Holy Catholic Church,
25:57the communion
25:57of saints,
25:58the forgiveness
25:59of sins,
26:00the resurrection
26:01of the body
26:02and the life
26:04everlasting.
26:06Amen.
26:09The Lord be with you
26:11and with thy spirit.
26:15Let us pray.
26:18Lord, have mercy upon us.
26:21Christ, have mercy upon us.
26:25Lord, have mercy upon us.
26:30Our Father,
26:32which art in heaven,
26:33hallowed be thy name.
26:35Thy kingdom come,
26:37thy will be done
26:38on earth
26:39as it is in heaven.
26:42Give us this day
26:43our daily bread
26:44and forgive us
26:46our trespasses
26:47as we forgive
26:49those who trespass
26:50against us.
26:52And lead us not
26:53into temptation,
26:54but deliver us
26:55from evil.
26:57Amen.
27:00O Lord,
27:01show thy mercy upon us
27:03and grant us
27:05thy salvation.

27:20thy chosen people
27:22joyful.

27:27and bless
27:29thine inheritance.
27:32Give peace
27:33in our time,
27:34O Lord,
27:35because there is none other
27:37that fighteth for us
27:38but only thou,
27:40O God.
27:43O God,
27:44make clean
27:45our hearts
27:45within us
27:46and take not
