00:00But the news that dropped on Tuesday was that, just out of nowhere,
00:04it was like, oh, hey, here's some more Bears news.
00:06Tyson Bajan is dealing with a concussion,
00:08and it is in the NFL's concussion protocol.
00:12This is something that I don't think anybody saw coming out of the game.
00:15It didn't look like he had any symptoms.
00:16It didn't look like he was injured at all.
00:18But, John, now, are the Bears going to have to rely on Case Keenum here
00:23to beat the Eagles?
00:25What's going on?
00:26Bruh, when your tight end gets mauled,
00:30and gets sacked along with you,
00:32yeah, you probably did get concussed.
00:34That last play didn't look good at all.
00:37But in the situation of the Bears quarterback room,
00:41I've always kind of believed this,
00:43but there's always a little bit here and there
00:45that can kind of make what I'm about to say controversial.
00:50But this is proof that quarterback is the hardest position to play in sports.
00:55Here's why.
00:57They can't find the third one.
01:00The Titans can't find one.
01:05The Falcons got five.
01:08Last year, the Browns had, like, seven.
01:11Like, this is such a difficult position for people to find productive players in
01:16that the Chicago Bears are now going to be on their third string quarterback.
01:21Because I don't think you should see Caleb Williams just for the simple fact of preserving an injury
01:25in what we thought was life-threatening, the way he went down and was carried off.
01:30And so, therefore, we should just give him another week to prepare mentally,
01:34to recover mentally, before you put him back out there on the field.
01:38Sometimes you just got to sacrifice a game.
01:41And if that has to be done by the vehicle of Case Keenum, then sure.
01:46But the Tyson-Bajin concussion was – I didn't have that on my bingo card when I woke up this
01:54morning.
01:54I didn't either.
01:55And listen, I'm going to be completely honest with you, John.
01:59I didn't even know Case Keenum was still in the NFL.
02:02I'm being dead serious when I say that.
02:04I thought he was a coach.
02:05I thought he was coaching on the team because I had never been with a helmet on.
02:08Yeah, I didn't even know that he was in the NFL as a quarterback at all.
02:12I was – oh, Case – wait, that Case Keenum?
02:15So, again, if they have to rely on him against an Eagles team that, yes,
02:20we have criticized their offense with Tim Parker, and we've been poking fun at Tim for a while.
02:24But still, still a very good football team.
02:27And the Bears are – I mean, listen, we may see this matchup down the line in the playoffs,
02:31so it may have implications down the line with Bears and Eagles.
02:35So it's actually a pretty big matchup.
02:37But now, I mean, listen, these guys haven't been ruled out yet.
02:41I have to say that.
02:43Like, Caleb Williams hasn't been ruled out.
02:44Baejin – is Baejin ruled out?
02:47Out.
02:47I know –
02:48Carewins is out.
02:49He should be out.
02:50I agree with you.
02:50He should.
02:51But we've seen some stupidity with a lot of teams, John, where it's like,
02:55lookit, Kyler Murray was activated after he didn't even know where he was in week one.
03:00And they're activating him.
03:01So I'm just saying, listen, I think he should be out, but you never know.
03:06I mean, he could.
03:07Listen, man, if I'm the Bears' general manager,
03:10I go down to the dark room where they keep enticing Baejin because of these concussions.
03:14I shine a light in his eye.
03:15I say, look at me.
03:16Look at me.
03:18You're playing, okay?
03:19We just paid you this offseason for this very moment.
03:22You're not finna just – you're just not finna watch no more.
03:25You got to play.
03:26Put your stuff on.
03:27Let's go.
03:28Okay?
03:29Look, you always want to take these brain injuries into consideration,
03:32and if he's in concussion protocol, you should take that with the utmost seriousness
03:37because you don't want a Kyler Murray-Tua situation on the field.
03:41But if I'm the Chicago Bears, I'm going to look at him with the side eye and go,
03:45hey, hey, hey, you all right?
03:48Yeah, yeah, you good, ain't you?
03:49You tough?
03:50Yeah, you got it.
03:51Here's your helmet.
03:52Like, because you need him to play.
03:55You really do need him to play because you paid him,
03:58because you need to see him in action,
04:00because I think going to Case Keenum pretty much puts this at a 14-point spread,
04:06if you ask me.
04:07Yeah, because I don't know if Case Keenum can even move in the pocket at this point.
04:11So you're pretty much giving this game away by starting Case Keenum
04:15if you cannot at least get Tyson Bajan to practice by Friday.
04:19Yeah, and, you know, Case Keenum hasn't thrown a regular season pass since 2023.
04:26So, I mean, that just kind of shows you what the situation is.
04:29Bajan completed five of nine passes for 54 yards in relief on Sunday.
04:35This is a weird Bears team because, listen, like we've mentioned before,
04:4059 points in week one, only three points in week two,
04:43and that was with Caleb Williams for most of that game.
04:46Now, the Eagles' defense is good, but I don't think it's as good as the Vikings' defense.
04:53It's lost the step.
04:54Brian Flores is a mastermind, John.
04:56Right.
04:56I don't think the coordinator is as good for Philadelphia.
05:00The talent may be on par because I love Jalen Carter,
05:03but the actual execution of the defense may not be there for Philadelphia
05:08like it is there for Minnesota.
05:10And so I don't think you're going to see that level of blitz packages.
05:14I don't think you're going to see that level of disguises.
05:17No.
05:17But you're also not going to see Caleb Williams at quarterback.
05:21Sure.
05:21So, you know, with Case Keenum, everybody can look good.
05:25I feel like this is going to be a Jameis Winston situation
05:27where you're like, you can't throw a five-yard out?
05:31Like, did you not do this in camp?
