00:01Coach, you know, obviously you had Marshall Falk there with that greatest show on turf.
00:06How hard is it for a guy like you and Andy Reid to be committed and stick to that run?
00:13Because, again, the big question mark in Kansas City now is, obviously, you've got an elite talent like Patrick Mahomes.
00:20And sticking with the run game, and I know you've told me this before, Coach, in the past, your entire
00:25offense went through Falk.
00:27Everyone thought it went through the passing game, but it went through Marshall.
00:30And you say that.
00:31You tell me, Coach, how hard is that to do for a guy like you that's a big-time play
00:37caller to stick with that run game?
00:40Well, it's not hard at all.
00:41The problem is, you keep handing him the ball, you're not going to have him the rest of the season,
00:44you know.
00:45You have to be very careful because he is going to take his shots, and he was getting a little
00:49bit older in the league at that point.
00:51So I was careful with the touches.
00:53But you can set him in the backfield back there, never hand him the ball, and he will have the
00:59same effect in the running game on the defense.
01:01By that, I mean, the first thing that a defense will account for when they play this was Marshall.
01:06Above everything else, they wanted to make sure that they had a beat on Marshall in the running game.
01:11They didn't want to get him going in the running game because of what he could do.
01:14And also as a receiver.
01:16So just having him there, whether you did anything with him or not, it changed coverages.
01:20It changed blitzes.
01:21It changed everything, you know.
01:23And they don't know whether you're going to use him or not.
01:25And, of course, that opened up things like the Super Bowl.
01:28You know, they had two guys on them in that Super Bowl against Tennessee.
01:32Well, and they blitzed us on every snap because they're all run blitzes.
01:35So you're one-on-one outside, so what are you going to do?
01:38So, you know, whether you hand him the ball or not, he has a great impact on the defenses that
01:42you see.
01:43So, let's see.
