00:00An historic former town hall has been sold for £575,000 after being put on the market by the
00:08council. Manchester-based property developer AGHA Group has bought the Pudsey Town Hall building
00:15after Leeds City Council bosses decided to go ahead with the sale in January. More than 1,000
00:21people signed a petition against the move. The four-storey hall was built around the year 1890
00:26on Robin Lane and was costing the council too much to maintain. The new owners said they
00:33fully appreciate its importance and the strong connection that local residents have with the
00:38building and with its heritage. It's not been open to the public since 2016.
