00:23not a lot of great stories coming out of Atlanta with Penix's availability, wanting to play,
00:30maybe not doesn't feel he's 100%, but the whole timing of this with Stefanski has just been
00:36head-scratching, to say the least, with them. Yeah. And I want to believe, if you're really
00:42healthy, this is Monday, Joe. This is not Thursday, wake up, and Penix says, you know what? I can give
00:49it a go. This is Monday. So somehow or another, they know today that he's going to be healthy
00:54by Thursday, yet he wasn't healthy yesterday. What happened from Sunday night to today that
01:00all of a sudden they're assuring themselves that Penix Jr. is going to be ready? I think
01:05is what you said. I just think they say, listen, you got to play. Sorry. You know what? Get
01:09your ass out there. I know you're hurt. I know you're sore. I know whatever. But there's one
01:14thing from being hurting than being injured. And the doctors have said you're not injured.
01:19You know, you may be still sore and all that other stuff. And he has said he doesn't feel
01:23comfortable. But I think they're saying, listen, season's on the line. We can't go 0-3.
01:27You know, we can't do it. And we look horrible in the process of going 0-3. So, you know,

01:33be conservative. Expect a lot of handoffs. I'm sure they want to, you know, give it to B.
01:38John Robinson as much as possible and not expose Penix Jr. But isn't it weird? Doesn't make any
01:43sense. You tell me yesterday he wasn't healthy enough to play. But today, you know, he's going
01:46to be healthy enough to play four days from now. Or three days from now. That, you know,
01:51very bizarre. Yep. Beyond bizarre. Almost as then. I don't know how they ended up with.
01:57You got two quarterbacks who can't play in Strand and Cooper Rush. And you got two guys
02:03that appear like they don't want to play. I don't think we see two again. Scott, do you?
02:08I mean, I don't think we see him at all. And I don't blame the guy if he doesn't want

02:13go out there and get hit. I'm all right. But Penix has had a million injuries, including
02:19all throughout his college career. So, he's blown out both knees. I don't know. I mean,
02:24I can't fault guys that have been down this road before that maybe they're a little gun
02:29shy about jumping back in there. I don't know what else to say with it.
02:33Yeah. You know, it's one of those things like falling off a horse. You got to get right back
02:37on it. It's maybe one of those things with Penix. But if he doesn't want to, I got to feel
02:41there's a number of teams around the NFL, Joe, that their starting quarterback next year
02:46is not on their roster this year. And as much as I was encouraged about Penix Jr. and stuff,
02:52I don't, I don't, you know what? Two are definitely not. And I don't think Penix is going to be
02:56there next year either. I don't think the Falcons have their quarterback for next season on their
02:59roster. I listen. So, every time a Falcons quarterback gets hit, apparently you got to
03:06hold your breath. Is that what we've done here, Atlanta? I mean, not a good situation at all.
03:12The only, this is the same team that ran, you know, Kirk Cousins out of town and Kirk Cousins
03:18is two and oh, and Cousins was actually halfway decent last year with Atlanta. I know it was
03:23contracted all that other stuff, but, you know, but still they had Kirk Cousins. They could have
03:28kept him one more season, right? Yep. Yep. And again, I mean, he's got more touchdown passes than
03:36I think Lamar, Drake may, I mean, go down the list here, Jordan law, like he's, he's got more
03:44touchdown passes than these guys combined right now. And you couldn't use them. You originally gave
03:49him the contract and then you went out and drafted Michael Penix Jr. and threw everything out. So
03:55the Falcons have been just their own worst enemy. But the only good news is they're taking on a
04:02Green Bay team that also stinks on so many different levels. If it wasn't the Jets being the Jets,
04:09Green Bay has no business winning that game over time or any other time. It was just that the Jets
04:15are going to be the Jets, but Green Bay is not good here, Scotty. There's some big issues there.
04:24I don't know. And is, is, is, is Michael Parsons going to change all that? I don't know.
04:29You think about it. They lost to Carson Wentz and darn near lost to Geno Smith, right? Nothing,
04:35you know, nothing. They're not awful. They should have lost. It's certainly not good. Yeah. They
04:39should have lost. Right. So, I mean, you're talking about two quarterbacks. How in the world are you
04:43going to beat the, you know, some of the better quarter quarterbacks when you face them? Uh,
04:48and the rally from 10 down, uh, Aaron Glenn's getting crucified here in New York about his
04:52decision-making. It was bad last year. It hasn't really seemingly improved this season. Although
04:57I'm going to give them a pass yesterday, Joe, they did. They were ripping him for not calling
05:01timeouts before the first gate, uh, before regulation ended. Then they were ripping him for taking the
05:06ball when they won the coin toss in overtime. And it wasn't as crazy as last year where last year
05:12was
05:12just so bad. Just, just like awful. Right. But, uh, he is getting criticized here in New York as well
05:18for, for blundering yesterday's game.
