00:18but in the opener, they hang 66 points.
00:2226.5-point favorite, a 45-point win.
00:25You cannot hand-wave that.
00:27Campbell, you know, they don't cover a 51.5.
00:31They win 52-3.
00:33So, you know, they nearly handled business there.
00:37They're a road favorite at Auburn.
00:41I think it's kind of, it shows they've really moved perception their way.
00:46What do you like here, or what are you looking for here
00:49in a game that, again, I think probably gets the Gators ranked
00:53if they win on the road?
00:55Yeah, they will be ranked if they win on the road here.
00:58I actually thought they should have been ranked already
01:00with some of the teams that have lost in the polls.
01:03I mean, Florida started 27th.
01:04They got up to 26th.
01:05They've been close.
01:07They're actually ranked in, I think, the coaches poll at 25th,
01:10but not the AP poll.
01:11The biggest difference with Florida has been the explosiveness of the offense.
01:15I think this is what the books are looking at by giving Florida,
01:19being the favorite here, is Florida's always had the talent.
01:23No one has doubted that this team, year after year, has had the talent,
01:26but can the coach get the most out of it?
01:29Tumbell Billy didn't.
01:30Their offense was beyond brutal, and they had a five-star quarterback in DJ Lagway.
01:35But what John Summerall has done and Buster Faulkner coming in from Georgia Tech,
01:39this team is fifth in the country in yards per play,
01:42an insane 8.8 yards per play, sixth in total offense at 569 yards,
01:47third in scoring, but they're also in the 99th percentile of offensive EPA per play,
01:53explosive rate, offensive success rate.
01:55If you can find an offensive category, Florida's near the top of it.
01:59Yes, they've played FAU, and they've played Campbell.
02:03But you know what?
02:04Florida lost it home to South Florida last year by scoring 16 points.
02:10So there is a big difference.
02:12Now, I bring up South Florida because the coach of South Florida happens
02:15to be the coach of Auburn.
02:17So he has seen Florida before, and he has stopped Florida,
02:21which is what a worrisome part, if you're a Gator fan,
02:24is Gullish has stopped Florida before.
02:27Now, it's a different Florida team under a different office and a coordinator,
02:29so you can only look at that so much.
02:31And Auburn has a different office now, now that Gullish is there.
02:35He brought Bidem, and he brought 12 other players with him,
02:38including his entire offense.
02:40But what Florida has done so far is shown to me that they can score.
02:43Now, can they score against a team with a coach that stopped them last year?
02:48Every part of me wants to go over in this game because of how good the Florida
02:52offense has looked.
02:53But the read is sort of the other way because this is their first road game.
02:58It's their first SEC game under the new regime.
03:01They're playing a guy who has stopped them before.
03:04Granted, it was a different offensive staff.
03:06But what I really like in this game is Florida's ability to get Jaden Ball the ball.
03:11He has 296 yards in two games.
03:14But if you go further back, you ran for another 200-plus versus Florida State.
03:18This guy is averaging 135 yards per game in the last three times he's taken the field.
03:23He's a top 10 prospect in the NFL draft.
03:26He's really, really good.
03:27And if Florida can get some running room because their offensive line is vastly improved
03:32from last year, that'll open up for Philo and company to score.
03:36I like Florida minus the 2.5.
03:38I flip-flopped on the total, so I'm going to stay away from it.
03:41I do like them here.
03:43It's not a huge confidence play.
03:46But I do think their offense is improved to the point where they can win in Auburn
03:51and take this first SEC game.
03:53I think the gap between these teams, at least on paper, is Goalish has come to Auburn
04:04and brought over a lot of South Florida.
04:06Of course, we know Byron Brown, but if you look at their top three receivers early season
04:11in Singleton, Coger, and Nimrod, they all played for USF last year.
04:16And again, he shouldn't have dismissed those guys.
04:20You need talent.
04:21Well, the difference for Florida is Florida has talent because they're the Florida Gators,
04:27and it still holds true for a program like that.
04:30You know where Jaden Ball played last year?
04:32They're Florida.
04:33You know where Dallas Wilson played?
04:36Florida.
04:37Vernal Brown, Florida.
04:38Like, this isn't Tulane wearing Florida jerseys, right?
04:45In fact, Aaron Filo comes over from Georgia Tech, and Buster Faulkner is a guy that a lot
04:54of people really, really like and think that's a guy with future head coaching chops.
05:01So, I think it's very interesting, and it's going to be one of the challenges for Auburn
05:08this year, a team I was not super in on coming into the season, is ultimately, is Goalish going
05:16at an SEC schedule with a G5 offense.
05:23Defensively, it's supposed to still be the Auburn defense, and that was kind of the, they
05:28kept Durkin, and that was all the excitement.
05:30I think this game's going to tell us a ton about these teams.
