00:00Get a coffee. Yeah, man.
00:02Oh, yeah.
00:03Hey, welcome to the Super.
00:20We haven't color corrected this at all.
00:22This is the actual color of that lake.
00:24It's absolutely insane.
00:26It is so blue.
00:27We're just going to walk across.
00:30Look at this bridge up there on top of those peaks.
00:34It's like over 2,200 meters high.
01:04All right, we're headed home, kind of.
01:08We're heading back to Canada for about two or three weeks.
01:13Actually, it's probably three weeks.
01:14Just to go and visit some family.
01:17We're going to go see our nephew and my sister and brother and Mandy's family.
01:26Before Mandy gets too pregnant and can't travel anymore.
01:30And, you know, we've spent the last couple of years on our own and recently decided we want to try
01:38and prioritize catching up with family more.
01:40So, I think once or twice a year.
01:43Definitely.
01:45We're trying to do twice a year now.
01:46But, before we fly off, we actually booked the first class lounge here at Bangkok Airport.
01:54The Coral Lounge.
01:55So, we're going to give that a bit of a look around.
01:58This is the first time we've ever been into a lounge.
02:01We don't do lounges.
02:03We usually do everything on the super cheap.
02:05But, we wanted to try and make it comfortable and enjoyable for Mandy as possible.
02:10So, we're going to try and check it out.
02:12Just trying to figure out where this bloody lounge is.
02:16I think we're in the right spot.
02:18Yeah.
02:19How are you feeling, honey?
02:21I'm okay.
02:21I'm a bit sleepy.
02:22I could go with a massage for sure.
02:24And, I'm hungry already.
02:26I'm hungry.
02:27Yeah.
02:27So, the lounge includes unlimited drinks, which we probably won't use, but also unlimited food.
02:34And, you can get a neck and shoulder massage while you're waiting for your flight.
02:41Okay, I think we found it.
02:43We got the Coral Lounge.
02:44They were doing a sale.
02:46It was like 50% off for the first class lounge.
02:49So, I figured we might as well take advantage.
03:00Look at this.
03:02A bit of a weird vibe when we walked in, to be honest.
03:05There's like a, I think two monks in here.
03:10And, they all looked a bit panicked that we were here as well.
03:14And, like we showed them our ticket and that we paid and everything.
03:17And, they like sat us in the corner next to the window.
03:21So, and then asked where the bathroom was.
03:23And, they said we couldn't use the bathroom.
03:25And, I was like, what?
03:26This is a first class lounge and you can't use the bathroom?
03:29There's supposed to be showers and everything as well.
03:34Strange.
03:35Strange.
03:36Strange.
03:36So, Mandy went up and kind of complained a little bit.
03:40And, they put us in this nice little area.
03:43And, one of the ladies said we can use the bathroom.
03:45So, I don't know what happened then.
03:47And, maybe miscommunications as usual.
03:52It's all good.
03:52We made it.
03:53No alcohol.
03:55Okay.
03:56This is strawberry.
03:57This is orange sunshine.
03:59If you would like to try it.
04:00Okay.
04:00This is better.
04:01This is for the kill for the massage.
04:04You can put the kill on your table.
04:06Okay.
04:07When you arrive for your kill, the telepiece will call you.
04:11Okay.
04:11Do you like to use the hand shoulder for massage?
04:14Yes.
04:16Or the foot massage?
04:18I had shoulder.
04:19Yes, and shoulder.
04:21Um, foot for me.
04:22Okay.
04:23Did you understand what the numbers were for?
04:25No.
04:27I thought you would ask.
04:29I'm like, oh, Lloyd's got it.
04:30I did ask.
04:31Did you hear his answer?
04:33Oh, I thought you asked something else.
04:35We don't even have cutler yet.
04:38It feels like they weren't expecting us or something.
04:40Like, we've just showed up unexpectedly at someone's house, kind of feels like.
04:46That drink is delicious though.
04:48What's it?
04:50I don't know.
04:50I think he told me.
04:52What did he say?
04:53This was caramel?
04:54This looks like a...
04:55He said caramel.
04:57Caramel movido.
05:01Looks like an espresso martini.
05:03That's exactly what it is.
05:04Oh, okay.
05:04That's a mess.
05:06And we just need to ask for cutler.
05:09Maybe it's us.
05:10Maybe we're not used to this sort of thing.
05:15No.
05:17I think they put a salad in front of you.
05:21There's supposed to be a fork there first, I think.
05:24And you never got that tea you ordered.
05:26No.
05:28All the waters.
05:31They brought out three drinks.
05:33That we didn't order.
05:34That we didn't order.
05:35I mean, they're free.
05:36They're all really nice.
05:38Nothing fun.
05:49It just keeps coming out now.
05:55There's so much fucking food in there.
05:58And drinks.
06:03They've now added a fourth table to our island.
06:09Let's go home.
06:20Okay.
06:21This is pretty good value for money.
06:22It's like, with the amount of food and alcohol and everything you can get here.
06:26Yeah.
06:28Definitely.
06:29Like, pregnant me is very happy.
06:33I can imagine if we were, like, if I was drinking.
06:38See, I don't even really want to drink.
06:41I hate drinking before flying now because, um.
06:45Yeah, I just feel like you get so dehydrated as it is.
06:48And then halfway through the flight, you start getting a hangover.
06:51So I try to avoid any booze before getting on a flight.
06:54But, I'll drink a couple of sips.
06:58Okay, we're off to a little bit of a rocky start.
07:02I think they just had, like, a couple of special guests here.
07:05And they were a bit flustered when we got in.
07:07And usually, it's, like, people with, um, priority pass that come in.
07:13And we just bought our tickets online yesterday.
07:16Um, but the food is absolutely amazing.
07:20And there's so much food.
07:21They brought out so much food for us.
07:23And just brought out a bunch of different drinks for us to try.
07:27Like, just recommended drinks.
07:28Um, and Mandy has now gone to get a foot massage.
07:33And then I'm gonna go get a neck and shoulder massage.
07:36Which is gonna be perfect before we fly.
07:39Uh, I think I just saw on the board that our flight is delayed.
07:43So hopefully it's not gonna set us back too much.
07:46Because we only have a two hour layover in Ho Chi Minh.
07:49And then we're flying to San Francisco.
07:51So hopefully we make it in time.
08:16Alright, we're on day two.
08:17We made it to San Francisco.
08:19Where we actually had a really stressful long travel day.
08:24Um, so we flew to Ho Chi Minh City.
08:28And something that's never happened before.
08:30There was a woman at the arrival gate with Mandy's name on it.
08:36She, we obviously identified ourselves to her.
08:38And she said, in very broken English.
08:40Cause she was Vietnamese.
08:42Um, you have to check your bags again.
08:45And we're like, what do you mean?
08:46Like we have two hours until our flight leaves.
08:49Like we can't like go and get our bags and check them in again.
08:53Which is what we thought she meant.
08:54She told us to go to the international transfer gate.
08:58And then when we got there, there was a guy in like military uniform.
09:02And he pulled Mandy over and went through all of her, um, carry on bags.
09:07And then asked for the security pin number for her check luggage.
09:15And showed us a photo of her bag.
09:17And then made us wait around for a while.
09:20And then just told us to leave.
09:21Um, that's never happened before.
09:24I don't know if that was just like a random security check.
09:29Or if they saw something in Mandy's bag.
09:32Anyway, our flight was delayed by like an hour and a half.
09:35Landed in San Fran late last night.
09:38Slept for a few hours.
09:40And now it's like 7.30am and we're flying to Vancouver.
09:44So fair to say we're, um, we're pretty tired.
09:48Especially Mandy.
09:49She's been a trooper though.
09:51Um, it is, yeah.
09:58We were just going to go and find something to eat and then get a coffee.
10:02Yeah man.
10:02Hell yeah.
10:03Hey, welcome to San Francisco.
10:07To be completely honest, all the staff here at the San Francisco airport have been unreal.
10:12The guy who checked us in was so like lively and just awesome.
10:17Um, they bring a lot of energy.
10:19Americans are so fun.
10:21Like they're just like the main character and I love their energy so much.
10:26Anyway, so I don't know what we're going to vlog when we get to Canada.
10:30We'll see.
10:31But, um, we're going to go grab something to eat now and then jump on our flight.
10:35Okay guys.
10:36So if you're planning a trip to Canada or North America or really anywhere for that matter,
10:42and you want to stay connected on the internet while you're traveling, then you're going to
10:46want to check out Olifly eSims, who just so happen to be the sponsor of today's video.
10:51Olifly eSims provides international eSims cards to over 190 destinations all over the world.
10:57So you can travel and stay connected without having to worry about expensive roaming fees.
11:03We've actually been using Olifly eSims for over two years now.
11:07Actually, we've been using them in countries like Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Mexico, the USA, and of course here
11:16in Canada.
11:17Speaking from my personal experience, there is nothing more frustrating to me than landing in a new country and having
11:23no connection.
11:24When we landed in San Francisco on our way to Canada, I had already activated our North American 30-day
11:31eSims,
11:31which meant that I was able to connect to the internet as soon as we got off the plane.
11:36I was able to get us a taxi and find our hotel.
11:39Once we got to the hotel, I was unable to walk around and find us something to eat for dinner,
11:44which made everything so much more simple.
11:46And the best part was the next day we got on a flight to Canada and I was still connected
11:51using the exact same SIM card.
11:53And the best part about Olifly eSims is that you don't actually have to ditch your old SIM card.
11:59So I actually have a SIM card for back in Thailand that I use and I was able to receive
12:04text messages while in Canada.
12:06So like if I'm logging on to my bank account and making transfers and stuff like that and they want
12:11to send me a verification text message, I can still get it.
12:14Or if I get text messages from friends back in Thailand or even back in Australia and they have my
12:20phone number, I can still receive them because my SIM card is still activated as well as using the Olifly
12:26eSims.
12:26And just in case your travel plans change, which sometimes they do, let's face it, don't worry because they actually
12:32allow you to return your eSims if you don't activate it within six months of your purchase date.
12:38We actually set up this particular eSims while we were in Vietnam waiting for our flight to San Francisco, which
12:45was delayed, which it seems to be always the case these days.
12:48And it was super simple. You can actually see me setting it up here. It took me about a minute
12:52to set it up.
12:53And all you have to do is simply scan the QR code, which you'll receive via email and follow the
13:00prompts and you're ready to go.
13:01You can also use the new Olifly app to set up your eSims. It's literally never been easier to set
13:07up your eSims.
13:08However, a quick service announcement. If you are interested in trying Olifly eSims for yourself, just make sure you head
13:14over to their website to check if your phone is compatible.
13:17Most phones these days are compatible with Olifly eSims, but if you're running with an older model, just make sure
13:23that it is compatible before you make your purchase.
13:25So if you want to check out Olifly eSims for yourself and stay connected while traveling, all you have to
13:30do is click the link down below in the description and use code Lloyd and Mandy and you'll receive 5
13:35% off your purchase.
13:37And you'll also be supporting this channel. Thank you very much Olifly for sponsoring this video and thank you guys
13:43for helping us out.
14:06Okay, we made it to Canada. We've had a couple weeks off because we were pretty tired from traveling over
14:14here.
14:14But also we just wanted to spend some more present time with family and not have to worry about working
14:19or filming.
14:20I've gotten a little bit sick and more increasingly pregnant.
14:26She's very pregnant.
14:29Yes, it's happened very fast, but that's okay. Today we're heading into Whistler from Pemberton where we've been staying and
14:38doing something that we've wanted to do for a very long time.
14:41So I'm very excited right now and I'm not missing out on this again, no matter how I feel.
14:46So yeah, we're going to go and do what's called the Summer Alpine Experience in Whistler.
14:52So, believe it or not, like Whistler's a 12 month a year mountain.
14:58You can go up there in the winter and in the summer. There's like heaps of mountain biking you can
15:02do, but there's also just sightseeing and there's a peak to peak.
15:05So there's two mountains here in Whistler. There's Whistler and there's Blackcomb.
15:10They're both about 2,000 meters high and you can go to the top of each of them and do
15:15some hiking and stuff.
15:16And then you can get the peak to peak gondola, which is this massive gondola ride that goes from one
15:21mountain to the other.
15:22So we're going to do that today and grab some lunch and just spend the whole afternoon up there sightseeing.
15:28Because as Mandy said, like the last two weeks has just been catching up with family, babysitting.
15:35I've played a little bit of golf with my brother.
15:38We've actually, we're really lucky that we have family that live in this area because there's no way we could
15:44afford a holiday in Whistler.
15:46But it is the most expensive place to travel to, I think in North America.
16:34Alright, I'm in the first gondola.
16:39So it's about 20 minutes to the top of Blackcomb Mountain.
16:45And then we're going to get the peak to peak gondola across to Whistler.
16:50Head up to the top of Whistler.
16:53Come back down, grab a drink or something to eat and then we'll see how we go from there.
16:56But it's about a hundred bucks per person.
17:00And that's for like unlimited use of all the gondolas all day.
17:05The thing is if you're here for more than one day, it's only $150 to get a season pass.
17:09So you can do this as many times as you want.
17:11So if you want to go up more than once, you might as well buy the season pass.
17:15But we just got once.
17:17We just got a day pass because we're only going to come up here one time.
17:46Okay, we're only about like five minutes into this gondola ride and the view is epic.
17:52They said down at the bottom that there's a high chance that we'll see bears on one of the gondolas
17:57today.
17:58Which would be awesome.
18:04Yeah, I think there'd be definitely some black bears around.
18:07If we saw a grizzly, I would be absolutely stoked.
18:11But I think they're pretty rare to see here.
18:14You wouldn't be scared? You used to be so scared of them.
18:17No, if we're on a gondola, I'm not scared.
18:19I don't want to run into one.
18:21Yeah.
18:22Okay.
19:05How good's the weather up here?
19:07Amazing.
19:08Perfect temperature.
19:09Believe it or not, it actually gets really hot in Canada.
19:11It's been about 33, 34 degrees every day.
19:14But up here, it's like 10 degrees cooler.
19:16So it's like a bit of a good relief because we don't have a pool or air conditioning where we're
19:23staying.
19:23So it's kind of hot.
19:25How's this view?
19:26It's amazing.
19:27With how hot it's been, it's crazy that there's still all this snow on the mountains.
19:32Alright, we're just going to jump on the peak to peak gondola now.
19:36Which is going to take us from Blackcomb Mountain all the way over to Whistler Mountain.
19:40And that's where you get the most epic views pretty much anywhere.
20:24Alright, we're on Whistler.
20:26We're on Whistler Mountain.
20:27And we're just going to walk over to the chairlift that takes you to what's called the top of the
20:32world hike.
20:34But we went through the hike.
20:36We're just going to walk across this bridge up there on top of those peaks.
20:42It's like over 2,200 meters high.
20:46And there's still heaps of snow there which is surprising.
20:50How was it not melted yet?
20:51How's that work?
20:53I mean it feels way too warm for there's still to be snow.
20:56It shows how much there was up here in the winter.
20:58Yeah, I mean they get meters and meters of snow so I guess it just takes so long for it
21:04to melt.
21:08We're hoping we can get up there have a look around and then get back to this bar at the
21:13top of Whistler here.
21:15And have a drink and something to eat before it closes.
21:20We should be alright I think.
21:22Yeah.
21:22We haven't color corrected this at all.
21:24This is the actual color of that lake.
21:26It's absolutely insane.
21:28It was so blue.
21:31I don't think we wore the right footwear for this.
21:34We never do.
21:53It's nice to say it's the first time I've ever walked onto a chairlift.
21:56Yeah.
21:57It's weird.
21:57Way easier.
21:59Except I've got thongs on that I feel like they're going to fall off at any second.
22:09Freaking out I'm going to lose something.
22:10Yeah I know.
22:11I feel.
22:12It feels weird.
22:13Yeah.
22:15Nice having so many items on it.
22:17Yeah.
22:18It's probably still as much snow on the mountain here as there is right now back home in Australia on
22:26our mountains.
22:27Yeah.
22:28Yeah.
22:29And you pay over $200 for a day pass to go to that.
22:33Look at it all.
22:35Alright there's the bridge we're going to walk across.
22:39Looks kind of shaky for me.
22:43You keen?
22:45Yeah.
22:46We're here.
22:46I guess we'll do it.
23:06It's very stable.
23:08Yeah.
23:09It did look shaky from down below.
23:12Oh okay.
23:14It's bouncy.
23:15Now it's shaky.
23:17I don't like it.
23:19It's really hot though.
23:20Yeah.
23:22I'm already not very sturdy at the moment.
23:25Yeah.
23:25It's gorgeous.
23:26Yeah.
23:29Look at that.
23:30Wow.
23:35Worth it for the view.
23:36Wow I really don't like it.
23:39Wow this is so hot.
23:41It's so hot!
23:46It looks so hot.
23:48I love you.
23:49It's about .
23:49It's so hot.
23:50Look at that.
23:51Yeah.
23:51See you then.
23:55Go away from here.
23:57Ah creepy.
23:58Yeah.
23:59See you then.
23:59See you then.
24:01Bye.
24:20don't worry guys man he's not alcoholic
24:26new favorite beer I think so I don't think I'm gonna go back to drinking after this this fulfills
24:33it and there's actually so many really good non-alcoholic craft beers in Canada as well now
24:38it's been so easy yeah this one is the corona sunbrew and it says it has vitamin D added
24:48which sounds kind of crazy for a non-alcoholic beer advertising it almost as a health drink
24:54I like it it's really good if you don't want to drink alcohol but you still want to have something
25:00that tastes like beer and gives you that sort of scratches that each I guess
25:14the most Canadian dish ever so we're just we're just here at the umbrella bar on top of Whistler
25:25Mountain having a beer and enjoying this epic view I think we've got another hour or two
25:30until we have to get the gondola down and I think we'll just chill out here hey yeah too much
25:37hiking
25:37for you we're just gonna eat this poutine the national dish of Canada hey is it good yeah
25:46it's pretty good that was the most epic day this is the best way to finish it hope you guys
26:06enjoyed
26:07the video thanks for watching if you made it this far don't forget to like and subscribe it really
