03:44alone the high snap to Goff that ends up being a fumble that the Lions recovered.
03:48But offensively, the mistakes are all self-inflicted.

04:40The caller brought it up, but yeah, I thought there were some terrible

04:43It isn't what cost the Lions, ultimately.
04:45The Lions couldn't stop the Bills, period, and they really need to look in the mirror
04:50about what they're doing defensively, A, from a schematic standpoint, and B, if the
04:54right people are calling the defense.
04:58I can't imagine that there are not discussions about, all right, if this isn't getting better
05:04quickly with Calvin Shepard, and you don't want to overreact against a Bills team that
05:07might have the best offense in the NFL.
05:09They gave Houston a ton of problems, and Houston's a much better team.
05:13However, you also need to prepare for the fact that this thing, between the second half of
05:19New Orleans into this game, is trending to be disastrous.
05:23And, you know, this team should have aspirations above and beyond just making the playoffs, and
05:31you need to provide some resistance defensively.

05:43I want to talk a little bit about Brad Holmes, because we can talk about Calvin Shepard, we
05:49can talk about the scheme, but the bottom line is, this secondary has zero talent, and this
05:54should not have snuck up on Brad Holmes as something that, you know, caught him, you know,
05:59blindsided him.
06:00We knew going into the season that Terry and Arnold had major legal issues.
06:06We knew that Brian Branch wasn't healthy, Kirby Joseph wasn't healthy, and he decided
06:11to do absolutely nothing other than bring in a bunch of old veteran role players to come
06:16in into the secondary.
06:18So, when you're busting coverages, I mean, this is a failure on Brad Holmes' part to adapt.
06:25The other point I want to make is, it seems like this team has lost some of the grit that
06:31they had a couple years ago, especially two decisions that were made.
06:37One, not going for the touchdown at the end of the half.
06:41You turned a three-score game into a three-score game, and then with seven and a half minutes
06:46left, punting the football.
06:48We saw last Saturday, Sark on Texas, when they were down three scores.
06:53He wasn't trying to keep the game close.
06:55He was trying to win the game, and they came back and won the game.
06:58It seemed like last night, this team was trying to keep the score respectable rather than actually
07:04trying to win the game late.
07:05Yeah, I think that's crap.
07:06But your first point, they're not trying to keep the score respectable.

07:12Kicking a field goal right before half isn't trying to, quote, win the game late.
07:16What Sark was doing in the fourth quarter, they were running out of time.

07:23A field goal wasn't great there, but you would have one play from the Buffalo 13.

09:36But in the end, they didn't complete that, and then they settled for the field goal.

10:15And if you can keep it within respectable striking distance, you give your team a chance.
10:18And then on top of that, to get the three points, dude, after the way that first half
10:22went, you want something to go into the locker room with some kind of positivity.

10:27And then to come back on a 77-yard drive to start the second half and score.
