03:20out relatively recently and I'm really happy to present it to you and show it. The rubber base,
03:25with a convenient flexible brush, has already been applied and it's drying. Well, in the meantime,
03:30we're opening the gel in shade number seven. This is Quick Gel from the brand IM. It's called Quick
03:37because it makes that characteristic, typical sound when you peel off this membrane. But the coolest
03:44thing is that this membrane you're seeing right now is reusable. So technology has finally reached
03:51our nail world and we can peel it off, stick it back on and use our membrane multiple times. And
03:58well,
03:58you know that I don't really like opening things like this, trying to pry them open and so on.
04:04That doesn't mean I'll stop using other brands. Of course not. It's just nice and cool that there's
04:09this kind of packaging too. I think a lot of people will like it. Well, as for the gel shade,

04:36popular right now. Everyone tends to go for nudes and that sort of thing. But there are clients who

04:47people definitely ask for colors. People want color. And this shade, I wouldn't even call it
04:52just a shade, but rather the whole line of IM gel polishes, I would highly recommend. Pay attention
04:59to how the brush behaves in the cuticle area. It opens up very well and correctly there.
05:06Now, this is the second layer. Take a close look. It opens up completely and follows the line of the
05:12cuticle. And it applies very conveniently. It's not densely packed, it's quite flat and moderately
05:19elastic. So it's neither too soft nor too stiff. These are very important parameters when choosing
05:25brushes specifically for color application. And as you can see, I managed to apply the coating without
05:30a fine brush. We already have two very thin layers applied. I'm putting them under the lamp and then I'll
05:36use a velvet top coat. Basically, it's a matte top coat without a sticky layer. It has exactly the
05:41same brush and will enjoy how beautifully it applies just the same. Honestly, when I was painting these
05:47nails, I felt a little sad. I felt sad because I no longer take on as many clients and I
05:53don't work
05:53as a nail technician anymore. And I really wish I could because it's so amazing that now, in our time,
05:59nail technicians have such opportunities and such great materials. We just didn't have any of that back
06:04in our time. And I'm truly happy and glad for the girls who are just now entering the profession.

07:03And of course, after filing down the length like this, it's important to keep your hands steady,
07:08so it doesn't jerk. We'll need to refine it just a little bit with a nail file,
07:12and the thickness will be revealed. The thickness at the edge, which will need to be removed by
07:19additional filing. If you take this angle, the edge will be clearly visible. I recommend trying it.
07:24Well, the only thing is that filming it, of course, isn't very convenient. But okay.
07:29And now, what's happening is something that I can only react to like this emoji. Face palm,
07:35honestly. Because I really wanted 3D gels. And I ordered them on Valbris. I ordered the whole
07:43collection right away. Transparent, something pink, blue, and so on. I covered up the brand here,
07:48because honestly, I really just don't know. Should I show you these gels and say what brand they are
07:53or not? Because you see what we're doing? We just hold the lamp up for a second and then take
07:58it away.
07:58This is already the second gel test, because the first time I thought maybe I was imagining things.
08:03But I wasn't imagining it. So after literally just half a second of contact with the LED flashlight,
08:09this gel starts to burn like crazy. And honestly, I was just afraid I would get a burn. Like really,
08:16just a thermal burn. Because this is the hottest gel out of all the hot gels I've ever seen.
08:22It's just a nightmare. And the burning is unbelievable. When Lisa and I tried this gel before,
08:27we just put our hand under the lamp. I can't even describe in words how she screamed. I was scared
08:33half to death really, because I didn't understand why she was screaming. I mean, yeah, sometimes it
08:39gets hot. And this is done on finished nails. And that's when we realized that this was some kind of
08:45super high temperature gel. It's definitely beautiful. I mean, it holds its shape. It has a nice tube.
08:51That's exactly why I ordered it. But the fact that it has a very strong heat effect, it really shocked
08:59us.
09:00So the thing is, I really wanted to warn people and say, um, well, what brand it is. But on
09:08the
09:08other hand, honestly, I don't know how appropriate that would be. I mean, um, I don't know. Let me know
09:14in the comments. But I think you shouldn't use a gel like this. My model is amazing. I knew there

09:19be a heat effect, but she really liked how the letters turned out. And we really did it, literally,
09:23for just a second. Touching it with the flashlight and then pulling it away, trying to make it work.
09:27But at her next fill appointment, she said she didn't want any more 3D designs. And I can
09:33understand her. Although I was already ready to file it all off. But to be fair, I have to say
09:37that it holds incredibly well. Look at the height. Look at those peaks. If you know a brand of 3D

10:06Someone who's an Aquarius decided to write those letters on her nails. And of course, Aquarius should
10:12have water. And naturally, the IEM brand turned out to have an amazing collection. Just stunning.
10:17These are stained glass gel polishes, colored polishes. So they're not top coats. They're not
10:21gels. They're just colored gel polishes. I was really excited too. Especially about this blue
10:27one and the bottle green one. Well, I have strange preferences, I know. So anyway, let's move on.
10:32Alright, that's just my preference. But the blue one, in my opinion, is just perfect. Look how great it
10:38looks. I'm going to apply it in two uneven layers. That's important. Uneven. So that it gives that water
10:44effect. Because right now, with the first layer, we're painting it and everything turns light blue.
10:49And if you apply the second layer unevenly, more in some places, less in others, and considering the
10:55unevenness of the 3D gel itself, then you'll get exactly that watery effect. Here is where we're
11:02applying the second layer. And you can already see how three-dimensional these letters are. How beautiful
11:08it looks. Especially combined with the shade itself. Which is very cool, neutral, and in my
11:14opinion, the perfect beige matte top. It looks so great like this. There you go. But unfortunately,
11:20yes, there is a downside. I want to say right away that these nails have already come in for a
11:23fill.
11:23And they came in after two weeks. Because the color layer peeled off from this 3D gel. Well, I mean,
11:30the color layer didn't peel off from the regular gel, but it did peel off from the 3D gel. And
11:36I know why
11:36this happened. We didn't remove the sticky layer from the 3D gel. It turned out to be, how should I
11:42put it,
11:42kind of greasy. That happens sometimes. Gels have a sticky layer. We should have removed it. And then
11:46everything would have been fine. But on the other hand, I was happy to take her in for a fill
11:50earlier.
11:50It was only after two weeks. Because I really wanted to see if everything was okay there.
11:54Since Lisa is still wearing 3D nails. And the model, by the way, is another one of our administrators,
12:00who ended up in my grubby nail tech hands. Just so you know, she's totally fine. She's actually very happy.
12:05And at the end, there will be a comment from her. So, thankfully, there are no burns there. But that
12:10won't be the case every time. And I can't say for sure that it will be fine with another client.
