00:00Hello everyone, Alena Vavrentieva is here with you and today we have a refill on gel tips that
00:04were overlaid with gel. These are craft easy tips. We'll be overlaying them with gel again,
00:10plus there will be stamping fine lines and an interesting lifehack at the very end on how to
00:15take photos if the hands just won't cooperate at all. But as always we start with removal.
00:20By the way, I picked out this interesting bit, I'll attach a link to it too, just in case.
00:25And then I remembered that there are these videos where they shorten the length
00:28in such an interesting way. Well, I need to practice, but the most important thing is that
00:33it's also a good test for the Poro disc. It held up just fine. We decided to change the shape
00:39after
00:39taking off a bit of length. We decided on an oval shape, so I'm filing down the corners.
00:45The technique is quite simple. We filed around the edges, then we prepped the surface. Everything
00:50is standard here and now we move on to the manicure. Using a pusher from Nippon Nippers,
00:55model pen D07, which by the way you can easily find online or on marketplaces.
01:01I push back the cuticle, clean up the pteridium a bit and it's time to move on to my favorite
01:06talc.
01:07I always use talc, absolutely every time I do a manicure or pedicure.
01:11Well, I just love doing it. I feel like the bits work much more smoothly with it.
01:15I grabbed this bit with a blunt nose. I'm showing it up close on purpose,
01:19so you can see it's not sharp. I'm using a Dr. Alex drill here, 40 to 45,000 rpm.
01:26But honestly, I never use it at full power. Right now, for instance, I'm working at around 12,000
01:32and I debulk at about 18. I never debulk at anything like 30.
01:39That is precisely why many people think the bit is dull or something, but its blades just don't have
01:44enough time to catch if you spin the drill too fast.
01:48I've already trimmed the cuticles using scissors as usual, and I'm finishing the manicure with buffing.
01:54This time I used, I used the grey silicon carbide polisher by Biotech.
01:58By the way, all the bits are also by Biotech.
02:01Well, here we go. What's coming up is...
02:04Well, I don't know, I liked it. You'll probably write that it sucks, as always,
02:09but that won't change anything. I'm going to post it anyway.
02:12By the way, here I'm trying out the scotch base from Moriske. I got a new one.
02:16Well, now I know for sure that it doesn't leak, because I kept it upside down in a cup
02:20for about 2 weeks and everything's fine.
02:22And everything holds up great on it, because the nails have already been through an infill.
02:26And here we decided to do some stamping. We were guessing, brainstorming, and trying all
02:30sorts of tricks, because I knew it was going to be sheer. You guys are going to write again,
02:34oh, what a nightmare, the nail is showing through. First of all, sheer nails are totally in style
02:38right now. Second of all, well, we are going to camouflage it a little bit anyway.
02:42Stamping is on, and since I'm planning to use gel next, I'm going over it with base coat once more.
02:48Just to remind you, this base comes in a stick and it's flexible, so basically it's a base layer
02:52underneath. It will also seal our stamping really well, so everything definitely stays put and nothing
02:58chips off. Next, let's take a completely clear gel. The only thing is, I still have that same one
03:03with the pink undertone. It hasn't run out yet, so, well, I'm using it. And I'll be building the nail's
03:08main structure with this gel. As you can see, I still have some purple left on the tip from last
03:13time.
03:14In the middle, I also have a little glitter left over from my last manicure, but that won't get in
03:19our way at all. In fact, it'll add a little extra charm to the design, because if I were to
03:24remove all
03:25of this, I'd have to do a full new set. But here, doing a refill is totally fine.
03:30I'm spreading the gel. There's no need to rush here.
03:35This gel is quite viscous. It's meant for extensions, scouting, and working with longer
03:40lengths. This is the classic ABC gel line from the Ariski brand, and it's super budget-friendly.
03:45Anyway, its self-level is great. I really love it. And on the other hand, by the way,
03:49we did the same stamping, but reversed. Meaning, on one hand, it goes from purple to white,
03:54and on the other, from white to purple. Feel free to share in the comments which option you find
04:00more interesting. Well, we've already done both, so it's staying as it is.
04:05Anyway, we decided to make the design more intricate.
04:08I applied a no-wipe topcoat and I'm now applying Rabon nail powder, using a silicone applicator
04:14to help me. It's such a great trick if there are hard to reach spots and you can't quite
04:19get into them.
04:21I lightly buffed the free edge with the buffer and then covered everything completely with
04:26the same no-wipe topcoat. Mine was from BSG.
04:31The chrome powder held up amazingly well, no issues at all. Actually, chrome powder always
04:36wears great on hard nail enhancements, by the way.
04:39Then, I decided I wanted to add a design for my model. This is one of our administrators.
04:44I'm always using her as a model. And I remembered that I have a lot, like so much silver paint.
04:51I bought so much of it, tested so much of it. Anyway, we decided to go with stripes. The only
04:58thing is, well, I recommend making that decision before you seal the chrome powder with topcoat,
05:03because I ended up with way too many layers of topcoat. But, well, the nail still turned out
05:08really cute in my opinion. Uh, as for the paint, this was the paint from Artex. The defective one
05:14I had. But on the other hand, it looks really shiny with the topcoat over it. And as for the
05:18promised life hack, it's just regular clear tape. Flipping the palm over like this, so the fingers
05:24don't drift apart. Because my model never keeps them together. And no matter how hard I try to take
05:29photos and shoot videos of your hand, it never works out for me at all. But with tape, it turns
05:34out really nice. And notice, you can't see it at all from that side. So it looks pretty good.
05:40That's all I have for today. Bye-bye!
