00:12denied him a visa.
00:14The resolution passed with 152 votes in favor, 3 against and 4 abstentions.
00:18Under the measure, Palestine can submit a pre-recorded statement by Abbas which will
00:22be played in the General Assembly Hall after being introduced by a Palestinian representative
00:26who is physically present.
00:27The resolution also allows Palestinian officials to participate by video or through pre-recorded
00:32statements at other high-level UN meetings and conferences.
00:36The United States extended visa restrictions on Palestinian officials, including Abbas on
00:40Wednesday preventing him from attending the UN General Assembly's high-level week in person
00:45for the second consecutive year.
