00:16Flip one shelf upside down and lay the second shelf on top, overlapping about a third of the shelf.

00:25Be sure to pull tight on the zip ties so the shelves are securely tied to each other.
00:30And then cut the excess zip ties.
00:32Remove the rubber tips from the ends of the shelves.
00:35Grab each arm on the shelves and bend them to about a 45 degree angle.

01:38Then fold a triangle in the first piece that's still attached to your toilet paper roll.
01:42Set that aside and now start scrunching the loose pieces of toilet paper from opposite corners in.
01:47Do this for all three pieces of toilet paper, then place them over the folded part.
01:52Now turn on your faucet and let it run for a few seconds.

02:05Bathroom odors can be unpleasant for you and your guests, and chemical air fresheners can smell harsh.
02:10Starting with a four ounce bottle, I'm adding some of these dried blooms from a bouquet my husband got me.
02:16Next, I added two fluid ounces of rubbing alcohol.
02:20I added two tablespoons of vegetable glycerin.
02:23Then I added 30 to 40 drops of my favorite essential oil and filled it up the rest of the
02:28way with filtered water.
02:29After giving it a good shake, I now had homemade potpourri that doesn't use any weird chemicals,
02:33and it leaves the bathroom smelling great.
02:37Old stained tile floors can make an entire bathroom look outdated, but fully replacing it is expensive,
02:44so I started by cleaning everything in the bathroom, especially the floor, making sure to get any loose dirt removed.
02:50I used old rags to dry everything thoroughly.
02:53Next, starting at the farthest end of the room, I took some painter's tape and began placing it on the
02:58floor.
02:59I overlapped the strips of tape to ensure the tile was completely covered.
03:03Next was the fun part.
03:05I purchased these peel and stick tiles from Amazon for about $13 a box.
03:10I started in the far left corner of the space, since that was the easiest spot.
03:14I made sure the tile was upright according to the arrows on the back,
03:18then I simply peeled the backing off and pressed it down on the floor.
03:21This tile required no grout, so I placed the next tile directly next to the first
03:26and continued that pattern until I had applied all the full-size tiles that I could.
03:30When it was time to cut the tiles, I used one of the backing pieces of paper to measure the
03:35size of the area and make a template.
03:37I took that template, placed it on the tile, and used a box cutter to cut the tile to size.
03:43When it came to working around the doors, I used a ruler to measure the length of the opening and
03:47the width of each piece of trim to make kind of a staircase cut so the tiles fit around the
03:52door trim nicely.
03:53I then used all the scraps that I had remaining to fill the extra space.
03:57This space was far from being square and the tiles are uneven, so despite my best efforts, the tiles had
04:03some gaps.
04:04So I decided to fill in the gaps with some leftover grout that I already had on hand.
04:08Once the grouting was done, I used some all-purpose white caulk to caulk around the perimeter of the space,
04:14especially around the tub and around the toilet.
04:16This really pulled the floor together and sealed everything to prevent moisture from penetrating underneath.
04:21Once the caulk was dry, I added a new shower curtain and a rug, and this little portion of my
04:27bathroom fits my style so much better,
04:30and I no longer have to look at those stained tiles.
04:33Scrubbing tough bathtub grime can quickly leave your back aching.
04:37Try this instead, using basic supplies you already have around the house.
04:41I'm going to start with 10 fluid ounces of Dawn dish soap,
04:45a tablespoon of toothpaste, 14 fluid ounces of white vinegar, a cup of water, and some baking soda.
04:51I'm going to mix that all together and take it to my bathroom.
04:54I'll take a good amount of it and start spreading it on my shower floor.
04:57Then I'll grab a broom, and this is the fun part.
05:00I'll take some toothpaste, yes, toothpaste, and spread it across the end of my broom bristles.
05:06Using this as a big scrubber, I'll start scrubbing away at those stubborn stains.
05:10You could use a regular scrub brush for this,
05:12but I love that using a broom saves my back and keeps me from having to bend over to scrub.
05:17Make sure to get in all the nooks and crannies and up the side wall of your shower.
05:21Turn on the water and start to rinse the solution away, along with those stubborn stains.
05:26And just like that, I've removed those unsightly stains and gotten my shower back up to scratch.
05:32Toilet paper storage in a small bathroom can be a challenge.
05:35Solve it with a paper towel holder from Dollar Tree.
05:38Paint it any color you like.

05:58For this project, I first measured my bathroom mirror to determine its dimensions,
06:02then headed to the hardware store to pick up my supplies.
06:05Once I got home, I attached two of the boards with a bit of adhesive and a mending plate on
06:10one side.
06:10Then I repeated that for two more boards.
06:13To fit my mirror, I cut the two longer connected boards to 63 1⁄4 inches,
06:18and the two shorter boards to 33 1⁄2 inches using my jigsaw.
06:22Next, I attached all the boards together using corner brackets on the same side I used the mending plates.
06:28Then I painted the very top and the inner border of the frame with some dark green paint I already
06:33had on hand.
06:34For the next step, I used these black and white peel and stick tiles I found on Amazon.
06:38I first cut the tiles in half so I had one flower on one side and two on the other
06:42side.
06:43Then I cut the tiles again into smaller squares.
06:46It was now time to make sure the frame fit around my bathroom mirror.
06:50To make sure the frame was safe and secure,
06:52I added four command strips to the top that hold up to 20 pounds.
06:56Next, I began placing the peel and stick tiles onto the wooden frame,
07:00leaving a bit of gap in between each tile.
07:03Next, I mixed up some grout I already had on hand and applied it to the gaps.
07:07You could also use caulk or joint compound to get the same effect.
07:11Lastly, I hot glued some Dollar Tree nautical rope to the inside edge of the frame to hide the reflection
07:17of the command strips.
07:19Now, my boring bathroom mirror has some personality and is super cute with the addition of this renter-friendly frame.
