00:19Midfielder DeMello, who has seven senior caps for the USA has filed a lawsuit against the University of Louisville Health
00:26for negligence.
00:27The 28-year-old, who plays for Racing Louisville, collapsed in the first half of a national women's soccer league
00:34match on 14 September 2025.
00:38DeMello's filing claims UOFL's health and the two doctors, quote, failed to act as a reasonably prudent and competent medical
00:47practice.
00:47And such negligence was a substantial factor in causing DeMello to suffer severe physical injuries, including but not limited to
00:57her cardiac arrest, end quote.
00:59An Australian athlete who faced criticism for continuing to compete in a High Rocks event after soiling herself has apologized
01:08and said she will retroactively withdraw from the race.
01:11At a competition on the weekend in Beijing, it got the kind of attention organizers didn't want when an Australian
01:18racer striving to become number one accidentally went number two.
01:22And she didn't stop. In fact, Joanna Wettrick won. Images of her using equipment in the shared spaces covered in
01:30her own feces erupted online and so did reaction.
01:33So much so that her coach had to call out the hatred and personal attacks against her.
