00:01Dangote Oil Refinery's recent public offering has not just drawn interest internationally.
00:07At home, the possibility to buy shares in Nigeria's biggest oil refinery has also attracted investors in droves.
00:15Aliko Dangote, owner of the refinery and Africa's richest man, said that he wanted everyone to be able to own
00:22a share.
00:22I see myself buying into the Dangote Refinery because it's a good platform to invest for the future.
00:31And what I would advise people, I have a couple of shares with other companies,
00:38but for this it's an opportunity and we've been waiting for a long time before now.
00:43So I think it's a good business to invest in to secure your future.
00:48Many Nigerians recognize the refinery's capital role in Nigeria's economy.
00:55Since production began in 2024, it has transformed the country from an importer of refined oil into an exporter.
01:07I will invest because of my future, because of my finance and for the economy of Nigeria.
01:16The reason being that Dangote is a successful investor, and that's a fact.
01:23Also, for him to have decided to bring out his refinery IPO, it's very possible that when I invest in
01:31the business, I will make a profit.
01:37Investors can buy a 10-share bundle in the Lagos-based refinery for N5,250, equivalent to around $4, the
01:46minimum investment.
