00:03for the ceremonial opening of the Queensland mango season and it's an
00:08absolute hive of activity. I'm joined by the CEO of the Brisbane Markets
00:12Andrew Young. Andrew, plenty happening this morning. Can you run us through what the plan
00:16is for today? Well it is a great morning and there's a lot happening. It is
00:19the auction of the symbolic first tray of mangoes. This is to help two very
00:23worthy charities here in Queensland. The Lady Musgrave Trust and Red Kite
00:28the symbolic auction of the mangoes. It is
00:32symbolic. It's Queensland's favourite fruit. It's a fundraiser
00:36as I said and it's supported well by the industry. And what are you hoping
00:40for in terms of a price? I've seen previous years these things go for
00:44tens of thousands of dollars. They do Will and this year we'd probably
00:48like to get over $70,000. That would be nice. We also have
00:52other fundraising activities so whatever we raise if it's $80,000, $90,000 it would
00:56be an excellent outcome. And I know that obviously it's supporting two great
01:00charities but you know we see the the tuna auctions in Japan where it's
01:04symbolically it's good luck for the season ahead. Is there a little bit of an element of that
01:07to becoming the mango monarch? We always love a bit of good luck Will so we'll
01:12take that one on board. And just finally we've got
01:16mangoes here today. It's the opening of the Queensland season
01:20symbolically. Will we see mangoes on our shelves from today? Yes
01:23more and more mangoes from here on in.
