00:00Not to mention, we're 24 hours away from something crazy in the National Football League,
00:06and I don't see how this game tomorrow and the total is ever going to come down.
00:12I cannot believe it is still the highest that I think we have ever seen, Craig, with Buffalo
00:18and Detroit, two teams on a short week, and I don't think we've ever seen a total this
00:24high, 54 and a half.
00:26In fact, I know we have not.
00:27But the under, every trend that you can come up with, given the two situations and the
00:33time of year, everything points to an under, and yet 54 and a half is still sitting there.
00:39Craig, we are not seeing a lot of movement to the under.
00:43I don't know if that's a gift or if we are being trapped here right now with this total
00:49tomorrow night.
00:50Yeah, I'm fairly sure that we're going to get a good game here.
00:54But in the end, I think your analysis going in, again, it's all 50-50.
00:59We don't know.
01:00But I do believe that you are correct.
01:02And quite frankly, I just don't think the game is going to be particularly close.
01:06I'm not impressed with Detroit.
01:08I think Buffalo is going to win.
01:11You know, my prediction probably tomorrow when we do the show will be somewhere along the lines
01:16of 24, 26 to 10 or 13, something like that.
01:21I just don't, right now, until I see Detroit play better, and we went through, during one
01:27of the breaks last night, some of the historical data.
01:30I mean, the Lions folks have not played well in almost a year.
01:35Like, it has been going back to almost all of last year, and this notion that they're
01:40good was a fallacy.
01:41Like, they played awful, and then they played a really good half of football against New
01:48Orleans.
01:49They did not score almost at all in the second half of the game.
01:52And so that's the point that Joe is trying to make, and I think it is a fair one.
01:55The other thing tomorrow night, too, is I am convinced that Buffalo, while Josh Allen,
02:02they will allow him to win, I don't know, seven or eight of the 11 games, they're not
02:07going to allow him just to do what he does every game like that.
02:10James Cook is going to play a lot tomorrow, and he's going to run the ball a lot tomorrow.
02:14They did not give James Cook the money they gave him to not give him the ball at all.
02:19I'm not saying this is like a Kenneth Walker situation, where he's going to run for 170.
02:22I'm just saying that expect a heavy dose of Cook and the Bills to change the game plan
02:28a little bit tomorrow.
02:29So I am with you, and I hate taking a favorite.
02:34Usually, you know, if you give me 10 games, I'll take the dog probably seven or eight times,
02:38honestly, and I'll do that again this weekend, too.
02:40But in this one, lower-scoring, slog, Buffalo-type San Francisco game from last week is sort of
02:49what I see.
02:50My faith in the Lions has waned.
02:53It just, I saw it yesterday.
02:57Maybe you like Detroit more than me, but, you know, it's fine.
02:59No, I'm not.
03:00Listen, new field, new atmosphere.
03:02I mean, the home field advantage is legit here, not to mention more injuries piling up.
03:09I believe starting right guard also hurt for Detroit.
03:13I mean, they're not coming out of an overtime game, mind you, in the best of shape here either.
03:18And here we are in just week two, and this is just a absolutely unbelievable total.
03:24They're expecting, I think, to your point, I don't think they're expecting maybe this
03:29is going to be all a good game here.
03:31I think eventually, Buffalo, even though it's a little chalky, boy, oh boy, does that feel
03:37like Buffalo's going to get a lot more money, and that means for this thing to go over,
03:42if you like Buffalo, I mean, 35, 30, how many points do they have to score, Craig, in order
03:48for Buffalo to not only win and cover, but this thing go over?
03:51I think they're going to have to do a lot of the heavy lifting.
03:55Maybe.
03:55And they could honestly go over their team total, and this game still could go under that
03:5954 total.
04:00So there's a lot of different ways to look at it.
04:04You know, I'm just very similar in the notion of, like, players who do not have big weeks
04:15that get these big mega contracts in week one, they tend to come back a little bit,
04:22and they say there's some regression to the mean, like Kenneth Walker, I highly doubt he
04:26runs for 170.
04:27Kenneth Walker, Joe, could still have a phenomenal game for the Chiefs this week and rush for
04:3170, and not 170.
04:33Like, and that could happen.
04:34I agree.
04:35So Cook, to me, on the ground, gets his 15, 17 carries, gets his 80, 90 yards, scores
04:43has won maybe two touchdowns, long, sustaining drives, very different than last week, where
04:49it was just run and gun with them, and by the way, Houston, too.
04:53Houston had their way with Buffalo's defense, but that's my feeling going into it.
04:59And by the way, it's not like a strong feeling or anything like that.
05:02I feel like by Sunday, I'll have better games to play, but just to give an opinion, or I
05:06guess they would say, like, a lean out there, that's the way that I would go.
