00:00Let's talk, though, Joe, about the reigning MVP,
00:02because it wasn't just Philadelphia who got themselves
00:04a big-time dominant win.
00:07The Buffalo Bills dominated the Carolina Panthers.
00:11And I know it would be easy to say, but it's Carolina.
00:16The Panthers had been playing some decent football.
00:19They'd been perfect at home on the year.
00:22And both sides of the ball, it was a calm effort for Buffalo.
00:27And Josh didn't even play well.
00:29That's about as low as a QBR you're going to find
00:31in a Josh Allen game where this team goes out there
00:34and looks like that.
00:34They scored 40 points.
00:36He had a 46.2 QBR.
00:37James Cook ran for 216.
00:39Again, he doesn't get enough talk in the O.P.O.I. conversation.
00:45I mean, really, this was a start-to-finish
00:48dominant Buffalo Bills effort.
00:50Yeah, and they got after it on the defensive side of the ball,
00:53Andy Dalton, and that offense for Carolina.
00:55But again, this is what you expected.
00:57The team had lost two straight.
00:59You say, okay, coming out of a bye week,
01:01can we get some mojo for Buffalo and this team as a whole?
01:05And they showcased that.
01:06And Josh Allen, when the chips were in the middle of the table
01:09and they were up only 12-3, he hits the big play,
01:13and all of a sudden things, they're on.
01:14Coming out of the half, Shakir, what a big touchdown catch.
01:18I mean, everything worked out what you would expect from this team.
01:22And now if they could play like that in the second half of the season,
01:26then they're going to be there as potentially the team to beat
01:30in the AFC coming into the playoffs.
01:32But again, we'll see.
01:33Can they maintain this from week to week?
01:36And then potentially, if they face Kansas City in a playoff environment,
01:40play like that defensively.
01:42So I think the reality for Buffalo, so next week they play KC.
01:47That is a big spot because –
01:51It's a gauge.
01:53Well, yeah, because look, you know, you go through the Bills' resume.
01:56Yeah.
01:56Right?
01:57We do this college football style, Joe.
01:59Their last year's Indiana.
02:00That's what they are.
02:01Except they have one of the three best quarterbacks in football
02:05leading the charge, so it's given a lot more grace.
02:09Because it's, ah, well, don't worry.
02:10At some point, Josh will be great, and then everything will be fine.
02:12Except Josh has been great, and things haven't been fine year in and year out.
02:16Right?
02:16When we talk about meeting the level.
02:17This is a team who spent weeks as the Super Bowl favorite just to watch it collapse
02:22and finds themselves in a divisional race.
02:25Let's be very clear.
02:26Right?
02:26We've spent multiple and understandably, you know, segments talking about Kansas City
02:32and the challenges that they're going to have in that AFC West
02:35just because Denver keeps stacking wins and L.A. has been able to stack some wins.
02:40The New England Patriots don't feel like they're going anywhere
02:42because the Bills having an easy schedule,
02:45that tune is no different for the Pats.
02:47The schedules are very similar.
02:49So a lot of it's going to come down to head-to-heads.
02:51Well, bad news, Buffalo.
02:52You already gave up one, and it was in your building.
02:55So every single time the Buffalo Bills play a good team,
03:00that is uber important.
03:02But due to how they entered the bye,
03:05they needed something that looked like what it looked like against Carolina.
03:08Yes, but if you were using the game against Kansas City as a gauge,
03:13you would almost, if you're a Buffalo Bill fan,
03:15want to lose that game in the regular season.
03:17Well, that's a problem.
03:18Dammit if you do, dammit if you don't.
03:19No, they are.
03:19Because if they dominate, they always dominate them in the regular season.
03:23Yeah.
03:24It's what have you done for me lately in January and February,
03:28and that's where Pat Mahomes owns Josh Allen,
03:31and Josh Allen can't build his legacy as an elite quarterback
03:34until he gets over the hump and he gets to a Super Bowl.
03:38It's the same question that we could say about Jalen,
03:40but Jalen answered the bell.
03:42He's a Super Bowl champion and he's an MVP.
03:45Until you do it when it matters, talk is cheap.
03:49Great.
03:49You do it in the regular season, but if you have to do it again,
03:52that's how the Bills will be judged.
