00:00When you're in the mood for comfort food but you have less than half an hour to make it, this
00:03is for you.
00:04Everything just gets dumped into the pot.
00:05You're going to whisk together cream of onion soup with chicken broth
00:08and then go in with your chicken, frozen veggies, a little pepper, and garlic powder.
00:11Recipe calls for Italian seasoning. I'm going in with just fresh thyme.
00:14You're going to bring this to a simmer and let it cook.
00:16Meanwhile, you've got to form your dumplings.
00:18You're just going to roll your pie crust out and cut it into strips.
00:20And cut your strips into more bite-sized pieces.
00:23When your soup is boiling, drop your dumplings in and cook it for another 8 to 10 minutes
00:27until it's thickened and those dumplings are cooked.
00:29You want it to be bubbling so your dumplings don't stick together.
00:31That, my friends, is a pot of comfort.
00:33It's a bowl full of warm hugs right there.
00:36That's exactly what it tastes like.
00:37All the flavors of chicken pot pie without the fuss.
00:40Those dumplings get so tender, they almost melt in your mouth.
00:43We might have used a few shortcuts, but for the comfort this gives, you won't even notice.
00:47Mmm, A+.
