00:04Wow, this is tough because until we get about five or six weeks into the season
00:11and things start to normalize, we have more to go off of,
00:15it won't be mainly about wins and losses.
00:18And I'll give you an example.

00:21It's, okay, what do we think about the Rams?
00:24Last week, they were the number one team in my power surge,
00:28and they played awful.
00:30And obviously, Myles Garrett is out.
00:32Aaron Donald will be back.
00:32But what is he going to be?
00:34Matthew Stafford, is he just old?
00:37Yep.
00:37I don't think so.
00:39Him and Devontae Adams washed.
00:40But they looked awful.
00:41And how do you account for the way L.A. went out to Australia
00:46and just the different context of that versus how San Francisco did it?
00:51Did San Francisco look that good just because they made a better decision
00:56on how they went out there?
00:57I don't know.
00:57But what we have to do is go off of what we have on the field.
01:01And then there's other cases where you're looking at Detroit.
01:05If they don't stop the two-point conversion,
01:09they're one play away from completely dropping off the radar
01:14because it's only one week.
01:15So, I do have some questions.
01:19And last week, if you remember, I went through the tiers.
01:22And in Tier 5, teams that I thought I would never mention again,
01:27we had the Arizona Cardinals.
01:30Now, they beat the L.A. Chargers.
01:35No, they're not six, Greg.
01:36No.
01:38But my apologies because I am actually mentioning them again.
01:43Didn't see that coming.
01:44I didn't think the Chargers would be that bad.
01:46I didn't think Arizona would be somewhat respectable.
01:50Is it all in the family business, like the LeFleurs?
01:57All of a sudden, hey, Arizona is respectable.
02:00And Marvin Harrison Jr. catching balls?
02:02What are we talking about?
02:03So, they're not in the power surge, but they're just a raisin eyebrow.
02:08The New York football giants, who were fourth in Tier 4,
02:13they're not six, but that was a good performance against the team in Dallas
02:19that I actually did have in my top six.
02:22And then some of the other teams.
02:24So, I'm going to say some of the teams that are on the outside looking in.
02:29Minnesota, very impressive what they did over Green Bay, mainly defensively.
02:35But when you have your starting quarterback go down
02:37and you bring in Carson Wentz and you perform that way,
02:40maybe you can sustain some of these injuries.
02:43And I'll get to that with Seattle as well with Sam Darnold and Drew Locke.
02:47They had a backup quarterback and still won?
02:49Incredible.
02:50They were two in my power surge last week.
02:53But what do you make of the results of the Chicago Bears?
02:57I don't know.
02:58Like, okay, they scored 59 points.
03:00They looked great.
03:00But they let up 37 to Carolina and a diminutive quarterback?
03:04Like, what is that?
03:06Tampa Bay lost.
03:07But did they just lose to a really good team in the Cincinnati Bengals?
03:13Green Bay lost.
03:14Dallas lost.
03:15Houston lost.
03:16Denver lost.
03:16The Rams lost.
03:17Like, these teams were all high in my power surge.
03:21So, they are not in the top six this week.
03:26And maybe you call it an overreaction.
03:28Look, we talk about in college football,
03:30you should adjust pretty sharply from what you actually see on the field.
03:34And so, some other teams that are just on the outside looking in.
03:37Detroit, on the outside still looking in.
03:40Philly, even though it was a good division win over Washington,
03:43still on the outside looking in.
03:46And Jacksonville, this is one that I really struggled with
03:48because Jacksonville looked really good.

03:54Trevor Lawrence, four touchdowns.
03:56Like, they looked like a complete team.
03:57And what we know from them last year,
04:00like, they heated up at the end of the year.
04:02And Trevor Lawrence looked like an MVP candidate.
04:04But who were they playing?
04:06The Browns.
04:07Garrett-less Cleveland Browns.
04:10And so, and Deshaun Watson looked awful.
04:13Absolutely awful.
04:14So, they're just on the outside looking in.
04:16My number six team this week is the Cincinnati Bengals.
04:21And I think, if you remember,
04:24when we went through our, all of our, you know,
04:26rankings in the playoffs and went through that,
04:29I had the Cincinnati Bengals winning that division.
04:31Joe Burrow looked good,
04:33even though he didn't provide a lot of fantasy points for me.
04:36He still looked the part.
04:38And the Cincinnati Bengals defense,
04:40was that a turnover for a touchdown?
04:42Oh.
04:43They're actually playing defense in Cincinnati now?
04:46If they play even top half of the NFL in defense,
04:51that is an offense that is going to put up a lot of points.
04:54Keep an eye on them.
04:56They're number six right now.
04:57They beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,
04:58who I also think is a good team.
05:00But Kansas City,
05:02they were a team last week that were in,
05:04that had some questions.
05:05What is Patrick Mahomes going to look like?
05:07Now, early on as a passer,
05:09it took him some time.
05:10I think he was like, what,
05:11three of 13 to start the game?
05:13Slow.
05:15He did have the one rush,
05:16I think it was for about 15 yards for a touchdown.
05:18Physically, he looks good.
05:20Got back into the rhythm.
05:21Travis Kelsey back in the game.
05:23And that was a team,
05:25I'm looking at going,
05:27wow, offense, defense, and special teams.
05:29They look complete.
05:30Now, I do have questions about their talent at receiver
05:33and how effective they're going to be.
05:36Xavier Worthy,
05:37still not as explosive as I thought he would be,
05:40but I'm going to give them some time.
05:41They're number five.
05:42Number four is the San Francisco 49ers.
05:45I still think the Rams are a really good team.
05:49I'm not going to sit there and say that they're not,
05:51but the reaction to week one was they didn't appear like a good team.
05:56San Francisco, on the other hand,
05:58I'm not going to count them out because they,
06:00and here it is,
06:02Brock Purdy.
06:03I think that was actually the best game I've seen him play as a pro.
06:07The way he maneuvered in the pocket,
06:09the way he got the ball out on time to receivers,
06:13the way that he got the ball out under duress,
06:16and it was accurate.
06:17Look out for him in this season.
06:20Number three,
06:22the Baltimore Ravens.
06:24And we did this in one of our fantasy segments,
06:26where is it,
06:28you know,
06:28is there a tight end?
06:29Is,

06:31Andrews,
06:32Mark Andrews,
06:32is their running back,
06:34Derrick Henry,
06:35is their receiver,
06:36Zay Flowers,
06:37and Lamar,
06:38are they all going to be top candidates?
06:40And I think we even threw their kicker in there.

06:49Lamar Jackson looked the part of a complete quarterback,

07:03but then the defense,
07:04it looked like a Baltimore defense under Jesse Minter.

07:13And when you look at the Buffalo Bills,

07:16the Texans,
07:17pretty damn good defense.
07:20What did Josh Allen,

07:22do against maybe one of the top defenses in the NFL?

07:28But on the flip side,

07:30by a C.J. Stroud-led offense.

07:33what do we know about their defense?
07:35I think Josh Allen is an MVP candidate,

07:38which is not breaking news.
07:40But,
07:41I think when you start the season off like that,
07:44he's got to be the leader in the clubhouse.
07:46I would imagine so.
07:47The number one team is the defending world champs,
07:49and I'm not looking at the Seattle Seahawks
07:51as a team,
07:52you know,
07:5213 points in the first game,
07:54but they did that with Drew Locke,
07:56and they did it against the New England Patriots.
07:59So,

08:00what does that mean?
08:01I don't really know,
08:03but what I do know is the Seattle Seahawks,

08:06they're badasses.
08:07Even though they lost some talent defensively,
08:10they have reloaded,
08:12and Mike McDonald,

08:14is one of the brightest minds,
08:16one of the best head coaches in the NFL,
08:18and he is a defensive-minded coach.
08:21We always talk about Sean McVay.
08:23We talk about all these other coaches
08:24that are offensive-minded
08:26as having the best teams.
08:28He's doing it as a defensive coach,
08:32and I think it's spectacular.
08:34So,
08:34Seattle is one.
08:35Seattle one,

08:37Ravens three,
08:38Niners four,
08:38Chiefs five,
08:40and the Bengals round out the power surge.
