01:18A multi-story residential building has collapsed overnight in western Gaza City, with 10 families reportedly trapped underneath.
01:25In the aftermath, the Palestinian civil defense said at least 20 people were killed, including 500 and 14 others were
01:32injured when the seven-story building collapsed overnight.
01:35Rescue efforts are underway. However, Gaza's civil defense stated that it is extremely difficult to reach about 100 people still
01:41missing because rescue teams lack the appropriate equipment.
01:44This comes as Israel's genocide of war against Palestinians in Gaza damaged and partially destroyed thousands of buildings across the
01:52besieged territory and Israel has restricted the entry of construction materials needed for repairs.
02:04At 3 a.m., civil defense crews received a report of the total collapse of a five-story building and
02:09immediately deployed to the scene.
02:12We were devastated by the sight of the unfolding disaster. The entire building had collapsed, leaving its residents trapped beneath
02:19the rubble.
02:21We immediately began the work of rescuing the injured, responding to multiple distress calls and the cries of women and
02:26children who were still alive.
02:30The residents moved into this building fully aware that it was cracked and in danger of collapse.
02:36However, a lack of other options left them with no choice but to inhabit these compromised homes, leading to the
02:42outcome we see now.
02:44Despite limited resources, our efforts at the civil defense continue.
02:48And we will persist until we have recovered all the martyrs estimated to number more than 95.
02:55An Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araqchi met his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Beijing to discuss bilateral regional and international

06:07The aircraft crashed in a parking lot at or near a self-storage facility in the community, which is in

12:35Demonstrators rejected Nayib Bukele's neoliberal economic policies, the impending collapse of
12:40the pension system, political persecution, and arbitrary detentions under the ongoing
12:45state of emergency.
12:46The contrast of this anniversary leaves us with a fundamental historical lesson.
12:52True independence cannot be reduced to military parades or nominal celebrations while external
12:57powers dictate national policies and local elites enforce social inequality.
13:03As Central America reflects on 205 years of history, the struggle for genuine self-determination
13:09requires dismantling imperial dependency and recognizing the multi-ethnic dignity of our
13:15peoples.
13:17Real unity will not come from diplomatic protocol, but from the cross-border solidarity of working
13:22class majorities fighting for a truly sovereign patria grande.

14:08Defense lawyers for former Argentine president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner announced new
14:12evidence to challenge her six-year corruption conviction in the Vialidad case.
14:17The legal team presented financial records from a public trust fund showing that companies
14:22linked to Lázaro Páez received less than one percent of allocated work resources.
14:26According to the defense, the primary beneficiary of those funds was a firm link to the family
14:31of former President Mauricio Macri contradicting central claims of the trial ruling.
14:36The defense submitted the evidence to the United Nations Human Rights Committee and is preparing
14:41a formal review petition before Argentina's Federal Criminal Cessation Court.
14:52And we found that those companies that were in the top places were companies that had nothing
15:00to do with the government of that time and made it clear, precise, and incontrovertible that
15:11the accusation leveled at Cristina.
15:14That she had issued that decree to favor Baez was absolutely false.
15:21And I repeat, all of this arises from a statement by a witness put forward in the Cuaronos case
15:26by the prosecution itself, which, in a completely objective manner, I want to acknowledge it,
15:33because things must be acknowledged, question the witness, and establish this information.
15:40But our fundamental purpose is for this conviction to fall, for Cristina to regain her freedom,
15:47of which she has been unjustly deprived, and, of course, for her to resume her political activities,
15:54which is what we are ultimately working for, and for which a huge number of people have the same expectation
16:01and the same desire.
16:04And Chile is mourning the death of Patricio Guzman, one of the country's most important documentary filmmakers,

16:12Throughout his career, Guzman turned his camera towards Chile's political history, social struggles, and collective memory.
16:19His landmark trilogy, The Battle of Chile, documented the final years of Salvador Allende's government

16:33he continued to explore memory, human rights, and the search for those who disappeared during the dictatorship.
16:38His later film, My Imaginary Country, turned to the 2019 social uprising and Chile's constitutional process.
16:45Guzman's work earned major international recognition, including the Silbo Bear in Berlin, the Goya Award, and the GoldenEye at Cannes.
16:53In 2023, Chile awarded him its national prize for performing arts and audiovisuals.
17:04And on Tuesday, Venezuela's Acting President, Delos Rodríguez, received the Director of the Regional Bureau for Latin America and the
17:10Caribbean of the United Nations Development Programme,
17:13Michelle Moschette, at the Mira Flores Palace during her official visit to Venezuela.
17:17The visit, which runs through September 16th, focuses on assessing the actions supported by the UN Programme in response to
17:25the country's post-earthquake recovery.
17:26During the meeting, the Acting President received the UNPD's preliminary post-disaster needs assessment.
17:32The technical findings are expected to provide a strategic operational and financial roadmap for recovery and reconstruction aligned with national
17:40priorities and the Venezuela Rises Plan.
17:42The UNPD also seeks to strengthen cooperation with the Bolivarian government within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals.
17:58All United Nations agencies were activated to support the Venezuelan people, and what we have just completed is highly significant.
18:07It has been practically a two-month effort because they were activated from the very beginning.
18:13I remember when I spoke with the director, the first thing I told him was that we wanted a development
18:17plan, because if we are going to recover, we want to recover better.
18:21If we are going to rebuild, we want to rebuild better, not only in terms of infrastructure, but also when
18:26it comes to the human dimension, Michelle, and human development.
18:32That plan was developed with all the national government's cabinets, the economic cabinet, the social and services cabinets, the foreign
18:40ministry, and the teams from all the agencies, along with the World Bank, CAF, the Inter-American Development Bank, and
18:46the European Union.
18:48We joined forces to create a single plan that includes a real assessment of Venezuela's post-earthquake needs.
19:01And in this context, Michelle Mouchet, the UN Development Program Director, explained that the post-disaster needs assessment report will
19:08serve as input for the development of the resilient recovery framework.
19:17The first post-disaster needs assessment report is being delivered.
19:24It compiles all the currently available evidence by sector, while addressing not only infrastructure, but also the human, social and
19:32economic needs arising from the two earthquakes that struck on June 24.
19:40We hope this report will be an important resource for developing an evidence-based resilient recovery framework.
19:51These mechanisms will coordinate the different actors based on the added value each can bring to Venezuela's reconstruction efforts.
20:02The main message of this effort is that Venezuela is not alone.
20:09The UN system is supporting the country, and the UN Development Program has been on the ground since day one,
20:16supporting national development priorities to rebuild, and not just rebuild, but rebuild better.
20:29Venezuelan acting President Nelson Rodriguez highlighted National Assembly President Jorge Rodriguez's efforts to help pursue diplomatic relations with the United
20:37Kingdom during a recent visit to the country.
20:45We just concluded an important meeting with Annette Thompson, the UK Foreign Office's Director for the Americas.
20:55We discussed Venezuela's position on political and social dialogue, as well as recent developments in oil and mining investments and
21:06their potential to contribute to rapid economic growth in Venezuela.
