Pace Gallery presents Arlene Shechet: She Said She Said at its 508 and 510 West 25th Street spaces from September 11 to October 24. The exhibition is the artist’s first New York show with the gallery since 2020 and follows her 2024 Storm King presentation Girl Group.It features new monumental sculptures in aluminum and Cor-Ten steel together with smaller ceramic works. Shechet describes her approach as “drawing through sculpture,” examining lightness, precarity, color, and construction. Visible traces of making—cuts, folds, seams, and welds—connect the metal and clay pieces.
