00:05Preliminary results in the election have the country's centre-left coalition holding a
00:10slim lead, but the final results remain too close to call.
00:14Opposition parties led by Social Democratic leader Magdalena Andersson held a three-seat
00:20majority in the 349-seat parliament over Prime Minister Ulf Kristensen's right-wing alliance,
00:27which includes the far right and anti-immigration Sweden Democrats.
00:32The narrow margin could make negotiations over the next government difficult.

01:41with late postal ballots and votes cast at Swedish embassies overseas starting to be counted on Wednesday.

01:51The central-left Social Democrats, led by Magdalena Andersson,
01:55were the largest party in the early account.
01:57A head of Prime Minister Ulf Kristusjöng's central-right moderates.

02:05while another return for the right could give the far-right Sweden Democrats
