01:05Dearly beloved brothers and sisters, the scripture moves us in sundry places to acknowledge and
01:13confess our many sins and wickedness. We should not justify nor hide them before the face of
01:20Almighty God our Heavenly Father, but confess them with a humble, lowly, penitent and obedient
01:27heart, to the end that we may obtain forgiveness of the same, by his infinite goodness and mercy.
01:39Although we ought always to humbly acknowledge our sins before God, we should do this particularly
01:46when we assemble and meet together, to give thanks for the great benefits we have received
01:51at his hands, to give him most worthy praise, to hear his most holy word, and to ask those
01:59things which are truly necessary, as well for the body as the soul.
02:07Therefore I pray and ask you, who are present here today, to accompany me with a pure heart
02:13and humble voice, to the throne of the heavenly grace, as we say together.
02:20Father, Almighty and most merciful Father, we have erred and strayed from your ways like
02:26lost sheep. We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts. We have offended
02:34against your holy laws. We have failed to do those things which we ought to have done, and
02:41we have done things which we ought not to have done. And so there is no health in us.
02:49But you, O Lord, have mercy upon us, miserable sinners. Spare those, O God, who confess their
02:56faults. Restore those who are truly penchant, according to your promises declared to mankind
03:03in Christ Jesus our Lord. Grant, O most merciful Father, for his sake, that we may hereafter live
03:13a godly, righteous and sober life, to the glory of your holy name. Amen.
03:22Grant, we beseech you, merciful Lord, to your faithful people, pardon and peace, that they may be cleansed
03:30from all their sins from all their sins, and serve you with a quiet mind, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

08:20By the rivers of Babylon, we sit down and weep, when we remember Zion.

08:43How can we sing a song to the Lord in a foreign land?

13:14and the children of Jerusalem to the sons of the Greeks,

15:28Chapter 4
15:32Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit,
15:35returned from the Jordan River,
15:37and was led by the Spirit

15:40where for forty days
15:42He endured temptations from the devil.
15:45He ate nothing during those days,
15:47and when they were completed,
15:49he was famished.
15:51The devil said to him,
15:53If you are the Son of God,
15:55command this stone to become bread.

16:02Man does not live by bread alone.
16:06Then the devil led him up to a high place,
