00:40These are bureaucrats who will be taking forward the conversations which happen between the two leaders.

00:50And that pretty much defines the India-Russia relationship.
00:54Everything from, you know, the economy to energy and, of course, defense, national security.

01:03Like I mentioned, that this is a relationship we don't have with any other country.
01:06None of our strategic partnerships are as close that the kind that we have with the Russian Federation.
01:14And this is a relationship that comes directly from the President's office.
01:18You know, there have been, I've spoken to Indian scientists, Indian military officials who tell me that
01:23whenever they had a problem in the relationship where it was facing a hurdle,
01:28all they had to do was to go to President Putin and he would, you know, make things happen.
01:33And that tells you about the kind of, you know, hardware that we've got from the Soviet Union,
01:38in the joint development projects that we've continued under the Russian Federation.
01:43The BrahMos missile is the most outstanding example of that.
01:48That is the missile that Russia has not exported to any other country.
01:52You know, has not done the kind of joint development that they have, you know,
01:56done with us for that missile.
01:58So that is emblematic of the kind of relationship that we have with the Russian Federation, Maria.
