00:09the September 11th terrorist attacks.
00:11In a message marking the anniversary, the Prime Minister remembered the 2,977 people killed in New York, at the
00:20Pentagon and in Pennsylvania.
00:22She also paid tribute to the first responders, recovery workers and survivors whose lives were affected long after the attacks.
00:31Pesant-Besasa said the tragedy remains deeply personal to Trinidad and Tobago, particularly because 14 TNT nationals who went to
00:40work at the World Trade Center that morning never returned home.
00:44She extended condolences to their families, the people of the United States and in particular residents of New York.
00:52She said the passage of 25 years must not diminish the duty to remember but should instead strengthen resolve against
01:00terrorism, hatred and ideologies that target innocent life.
01:05She reaffirmed Trinidad and Tobago's commitment to working with the United States to protect their people and promote a safer
01:12and more peaceful world.
01:14Pesant-Besasa ended with a simple message, we remember and honor them and we will never forget.
