00:00I am very upset with the Los Angeles Rams of Inglewood because they laid an egg on Thursday.
00:08All this talk about travel, all this talk about, oh, we're going to be ready.
00:12We have flat seats in the plane and we're going to get there and get on our L.A. time

00:19And they laid an egg and possibly one of the most embarrassing losses of the Sean McVay era.

00:25But again, I'm already getting a little bit angry.

02:21And for them to, you know, just kind of tuck their tail 27-7 to just sit him.

02:36But the way that that looks, it looks like a tap out, man.

02:52Because I feel like they deserve a lot of credit for how they showed up.
02:56How they showed up throughout the week.
02:58How they showed up in this game.
02:59The game plan that Kyle Shanahan had.

03:03Super Bowl champion Raheem Morris with the Rams, by the way.
03:05How he schemed against his former team and Sean McVay.
03:09He knew everything that they were going to do.
03:10He knew exactly how to game plan against that.
03:13And I know Elam.
03:14We're going to have Elam on.
03:15Eric Lampkins a second.
03:16To kind of talk more about the scheme.
03:18And all the X's and O's and stuff.
03:20So, it was a 10-7 halftime game.

03:26The 49ers finished with roughly 380 yards of offense.
03:30They controlled possession for more than 33 minutes.
03:35And Fred Warner and that defense for the 49ers looked absolutely phenomenal.
03:41Now, Nick Bosa was playing.
03:43He came back early from his ACL.
03:45Fred Warner looked awesome.
03:47He looked extremely healthy coming off of his broken leg.
03:51That entire 49ers defense was on a string.
03:54I have to give them a ton of credit.
03:56They were awesome.
03:59And it's not just the defense.
04:00The offense was good, too.
04:01And now, it wasn't as crisp as, you know, we've seen 49ers offenses when they went to
04:05the Super Bowl and all that stuff.

04:07But outside of that one interception for Brock Purdy, I felt like he was awesome tonight.
04:11I felt like he was really, really good.
04:14So, the 49ers went on to win 27-7 in Australia.
04:19And, John, I'll ask you this, and I'm pretty sure I know this question, the answer to this,
04:26but what surprised you more?
04:27Was it how good San Francisco looked on defense, or was it how bad L.A. looked?
04:33My biggest surprise, my biggest takeaway as I walk away from this game is two things.
04:37How bad Matthew Stafford played, and Miles Garrett literally didn't make the stat sheet.
04:43Miles Garrett not making the stat sheet was an utter shocker to me.
04:48Miles Garrett being milk cartoned in this game was the most shocking part of what I saw.
04:56Later in the fourth quarter, the announcer explained that he had been having some lower leg injuries
05:03or something of that nature.
05:04And I'm like, bro, y'all cover firing for this?
05:08Like, he didn't play.
05:09He didn't participate in the preseason because they don't want him getting reps and getting hurt in the preseason.
05:14Okay, I understand that.
05:15I get that.
05:16But if this is the effort, people saying that he looked gassed or he was tired.
05:20Like, so to answer your question, the two things that I was just utterly blown away by,
05:28the reigning MVP just not looking with it in game one,
05:32and Miles Garrett being a complete, utter dud as his first performance in a Rams uniform.
