Nepal performs more mass burials in Bidur at Nuwakot district on Sept. 10, 2026 after a glacial collapse that triggered devastating floods in the region. Nepalese security personnel wearing protective suits carried unidentified victims in body bags to burial sites, placing numbered pots at each location to log the remains. The burial of 48 bodies lasted more than four hours, according to a Reuters eyewitness. At least 1,300 people have been confirmed dead and more than 5,300 are missing across Nepal and China's Tibet region.
