05:22they agreed this is going to be two years
05:23we heard the President of Ukraine
05:25saying the payments
05:26will have to be accelerated

14:41violation of
14:42international law
14:42of international
14:43human rights law
14:44of international
14:45humanitarian law
14:46and the problem
14:47has been that
14:48too many countries
14:49have been careful
14:50in criticizing Israel
14:51because you were
14:52so easily attacked
14:53of being anti-Semitic
14:55which is a very
14:55That has been a factor

16:30change the United States
16:32and did it change
16:32the world
16:33just as profoundly
16:36I think it did
16:37I remember
16:39where I was
16:40that day
16:40like many of us
16:41I was in a conference
16:42room in the office
16:43in London
16:44we were all
16:44called down
16:45to a room
16:46where the television
16:47was on
16:48and we felt
16:48shock
16:49of course we felt
16:50anger
16:51but we also felt
16:52unity
16:53we were a very
16:54united country
16:55then
16:55today unfortunately
16:57we're a very
16:57polarized country
16:58which of course
16:59is a shame
16:59but I think
17:00to answer your
17:00question
17:01there are probably
17:01three or so
17:02big takeaways
17:03for me
17:04one of them
17:05is the power
17:06of asymmetric
17:08warfare
17:09we saw
17:11what damage
17:12a small
17:13but determined

17:18with few tools

17:20more powerful force

17:32Persian Gulf
17:32where Iran
17:33is still
17:33continuing
17:34to inflict
17:34damage
17:35against
17:36the United
17:37States
17:37after taking
17:38a beating
17:38we're seeing
17:39the power
17:40of asymmetric
17:40warfare
17:41in Ukraine
17:41where
17:42Ukrainians
17:43are holding
17:43out against
17:44a much
17:45larger force
17:47but another
17:48takeaway
17:49is that
17:49military force
17:51is not enough
17:52to defeat
17:53terrorism
17:53the idea
17:54that we can
17:54defeat terrorism
17:55just using
17:56power
17:56is I think
17:57misguided
17:58we need
17:59financial
18:00economic
18:00means
18:01we need
18:01diplomacy
18:02we need
18:02culture
18:03and so forth
18:03and the other
18:04part of what
18:05makes it happen
18:05is that AI
18:06is going to
18:06make asymmetric
18:07warfare even
18:08more relevant
18:09and very quickly
18:10the second
18:11takeaway for me
18:12is that the
18:12United States
18:13just can't
18:14retreat into
18:15a cocoon
18:16we may lose
18:17interest in the
18:17world
18:18but the world
18:19is not going
18:19to lose
18:19interest in us
18:20and the third
18:21is that
18:22you know
18:22in the 9-11
18:23report
18:24I was struck
18:25at all the
18:25information we
18:26were receiving
18:26about a possible
18:27attack
18:28and we
18:28just didn't
18:29manage to
18:29process
18:30information
18:30fast enough
18:31for a
18:33generation
18:33that did
18:34not
18:34experience
18:34that day
18:35first hand
18:36the younger
18:37ones
18:37why does
