00:00You never have to buy green onions again. Here's why. For green onions that you're going to use
00:04within a week, the best way to store them is in your fridge and a little bit of water. Once
00:08you
00:08use those green onions, you can actually plant these directly in your garden and they'll continue
00:12to grow. These are green onions that I've had growing here for literally years and now I'm
00:16going to add a few more to my pot. Just add a little hole and make sure that that root
00:21is
00:21completely buried. Make sure you water them occasionally and that they have access to some
00:25sunlight. If you don't have a garden or just don't have a space, you can actually place them
00:29in a little jar of water in your windowsill and they'll continue to regrow for a few cycles. This
00:34one I'm just going to leave in the fridge in the crisper drawer so that you can see the difference.
00:37Checking in a full week later and the ones stored in the crisper drawer are completely done for.
00:41Much better. They're starting to dry out on the tips but honestly you can still use these so
00:45even after a full week, clearly this is a better method for storage. As for regrowing your green
00:49onions, the ones stored in the windowsill are already sprouting quite a bit. My green onions
00:53outside in the planter pot are doing their thing. These will be good for years to come.
