00:00So let's open the show with the first game of the season, which is the Patriots and the Seahawks.
00:06It's a rematch of the Super Bowl. It's on a freaking Wednesday, which is odd.
00:10But if you're in Australia, it's Thursday. Kyle Shannon, if you're listening.
00:14But anyways, Pat Seahawks, John, what are your expectations for this one?
00:18I'm kind of up in the air with this.
00:21You know, I'm really interested in seeing this game because I want to see the new quarterback wide receiver combination
00:26between Drake May and A.J. Brown.
00:29I think that's the real storyline in this game.
00:31They just gave Christian Gonzalez an extremely large amount of money.
00:36And so we want to see how he responds after getting paid.
00:39I want to see how New England responds after having the easiest schedule in the NFL last year.
00:45I want to see how everything looks as they come off of losing the Super Bowl.
00:50Because we always talk about the Super Bowl hangover for the winner.
00:53But we rarely talk about the Super Bowl hangover for the loser who played as many games
00:58and fought as hard but lost the Super Bowl.
01:01And so do they have the Buffalo Bill gene in them to keep getting off the mat and keep going
01:06and keep going?
01:07We'll find out.
01:08Is Drake May for real?
01:10Because, again, remember, he was on the MVP list for a lot of people last year.
01:14Him and Matt Stafford basically fought neck and neck to the end of the season.
01:17And so there's a lot of question marks that I'm interested in from the Patriot side of things.
01:22When it comes to the Seahawks, Sam Darno is all I care about seeing.
01:28Okay.
01:28Because I really believe that the offensive coordinator was the magic sauce that allowed him
01:35to carry his success from Minnesota to Seattle.
01:38And I want to see game one right out the box if it's real.
01:42So I agree with you.
01:44I think there are a lot of questions regarding both of these teams.
01:48That does not mean that they're bad football teams.
01:51It's just coming off of the Super Bowl runs that they had where it was a little bit of
01:55an interesting run for both of these squads, right?
01:58Nobody really expected a Pat Seahawks Super Bowl.
02:01But nonetheless, it was.
02:02And both of these teams got through their conferences.
02:04And Seahawks beat the Rams.
02:06And not a lot of people thought that they could.
02:09And now we have to see, is Clint Kubiak kind of the guy that made the whole system work?
02:14Is Drake made the truth for real?
02:17Like, yeah, he was second MVP, but can he replicate it?
02:19Can he do this again when there's more scouting on him and all that different type of stuff?
02:23So interesting matchup.
02:24I think the Seahawks are going to win this one, to be honest with you.
02:27It's at their place.
02:29Do you have a pick?
02:30Who do you got?
02:31I like the Patriots in this game.
02:33Oh, you do?
02:34I like the Patriots in this game because I think this is going to be an announcement of A.J.
02:40Brown.
02:41I think this is going to be A.J. Brown saying, hey, I told y'all it wasn't me.
02:46His turn now.
02:49His turn to perform.
02:50I came out opening night, showed y'all what I got.
02:53I called a couple touchdowns.
02:54I called 100 yards.
02:56It ain't me.
02:57Because as good as Seattle was, I don't think they have somebody in the secondary that can deal with him.
03:02Again, they lost a lot of people in their back end as well.
03:05And so what they have to show defensively is can they still, you know, muster up what they did last
03:11year?
03:11I think their head coach being a defensive guy, they won't have a fall off of it.
03:15But again, A.J. Brown's a different beast.
03:18A.J. Brown's a different beast.
03:18Today, Let's look ahead.
