00:00Have you started to get a sense of what people are,
00:03what the popular side in this game, or even the total?
00:07Are you hearing a ton of Seattle, a ton of over?
00:10What are you guys hearing?
00:13My mother, my grandmother, every single person in this building,
00:16maybe some people outside, are all on the Seahawks.
00:20Literally Seahawks, Seahawks, Seahawks.
00:22I know the money dropped today, too, with the 70% handle as well.
00:25So it seems like the world's in the same thing,
00:27but that's the same thing here in San Francisco.
00:28Everybody we've been talking to kind of leans with the Hawks here.
00:31I don't know if that's Patriot hatred, maybe,
00:34or if it's just the fact that they think that this is the better football team,
00:37top to bottom.
00:38But, you know, don't count out the Patriots here.
00:40I personally don't really have a dog in the hunt specifically.
00:43I kind of think that the Seahawks might get the job done.
00:45The four and a half is a little bit of a tough number for me.
00:47But, yeah, from what we've been speaking to with some guests
00:49that we've had on the show, you know, we talked to Sean Alexander,
00:53Seahawks, great, Hall of Famer, MVP, and, like, what's he going to say, right?
00:57I like the Patriots.
00:58However, it was interesting talking to Sean.
01:00He's a big Drake May guy.
01:01So it was, like, talking with him, listening to him talk about his relationship
01:04with Drake May.
01:05And, like, you could see the sparkle in his eye kind of talking about
01:07the young stud quarterback, but his heart will always go with the Seahawks.
01:11So even guests we've had, even just walking around,
01:13getting the vibe from people here, even though there's a little bit of –
01:16we're in that vicinity, even though it's 49er Nation here in San Francisco,
01:19it seems like Seahawks are getting all the love.
01:21So, SPJ, you talked to Baker, right?
01:24So I'm curious about what Baker thought about both quarterbacks, Darnold.
01:28Obviously, he went up against Darnold, did give them the loss, 38-35.
01:34Did he break down the quarterback perspective?
01:37Yeah.
01:37Kaufman asked him a little bit about his relationship with Sam Darnold.
01:40He had a really awesome thing to say about Sam, you know, first name basis,
01:43as they've been teammates in certain situations, very similar track in the NFL,
01:47obviously, in their path, but he kind of didn't really go super deep
01:52into what he was expecting from both of these guys,
01:54but he's expecting an incredible game between two guys
01:56that have never been on this stage before.
01:58We're going to see a guy second year in the league,
01:59and Drake May obviously just came up a vote short yesterday in the MVP voting.
02:04I heard you guys kind of chatting about that a little bit.
02:05I'll let you guys yell about that in a minute a little more.
02:07But, yeah, and he obviously has a lot of love for Sam
02:11and what he's been able to do.
02:12Obviously, Minnesota last year coming in and doing the same kind of stuff in Seattle.
02:16Seattle, for me, looking at the Seattle situation with Sam Darnold,
02:20like my biggest thing that I'm looking forward to on Sunday
02:23is what both of these quarterbacks are going to come to the table with.
02:27This is the biggest stage in all of sports.
02:29This is the biggest game of both of their careers,
02:31young for May and a little bit further down the line for Darnold.
02:34But I know that's kind of a little bit like not really incredible analysis,
02:38but I'm fascinated to see which one of these guys is going to rise to the occasion
02:41or if it's going to be the defenses that are kind of the ones that are shining at the party.
02:45But I think Sam Darnold and Drake May are going to have to put their best foot forward
02:50in this game.
02:50And I think that Sam Darnold isn't going to be in a situation where I don't know
02:55about you guys, but watching him in the NFC Championship game before that,
03:00I don't think I would have had the confidence to say this guy can go win a Super Bowl.
03:05But what he did in the NFC Championship game, how he carried that football team,
03:09because there's been stretches of the season.
03:11He's had those bad interception games.
03:13He's had the, you know, he has not had spectacular experiences.
03:16He's kind of like fallen when the lights are the brightest.
03:19But in that game, he out-dueled Matthew Stafford.
03:22He was the reason why the San Francisco or the Seattle Seahawks won that game.
03:26And to see him do that on that stage in the biggest game in his career at that point
03:30makes me feel confident going into the biggest game of his career that
03:34maybe Darnold's got the stuff, man.
03:35We're going to find out.
