00:36He's spoken out and clarified on exactly what played out at the Assembly.
00:40And I'll get you details of what Chief Minister Vijay has had to say on that

00:47on former Chief Minister Stalin.
00:49Also coming up on the show, we'll get you a big story coming in from Kerala.
00:53For the last one week, there's been a huge debate over a cleric making a comment
00:58about how women should stay at home, should be boxed up.
01:01And amid that, you've got allies of the Congress like the IUML speaking out for the cleric.
01:07A woman anchor being forced to apologise just simply for calling out this cleric
01:13for the comments that he's made.
01:15So we'll get you all of the details on those two big stories and much, much more.
01:19Let's begin with the headlines.
01:25Prime Minister Modi renews Naraas Poofaji attack on opposition.
01:29Says Naraas Poofa won't be happy with Vikaas.
01:32Naraas Poofa launches Jhoot ki gunj saaiwo at the Congress.
01:36We will be over again.
01:39Jhoot ki gunj se bharmane waale toh,
01:47har choharaye per mil jayenge.
01:51Lekin bharat ka nojwaan saj ki hunkaar se chalta hai.
02:01Major security scare at Prime Minister Modi's Mumbai event.
02:05Man posing as PMO official tries to enter PM's event venue.
02:11His personal bodyguard was also carrying a gun.
02:13Two suspects nabbed search on for one more suspect.
02:22Massive revelations in Delhi.
02:24Building collapse, FIR owners' greed led to the loss of seven lives.
02:28FIR says owners added four additional floors without permit.
02:32Chief Minister Rekha Gupta meets families of those who lost their children.
02:41Amid constant political attacks, BJP MP Kangana now speaks out for Trisha.
02:47Poofa says women are always shamed while men escape.
02:50As self-character attacks on women must stop.
03:05Man kills self over drugs and harassment.
03:08Blames Punjab Minister Chima for suicide in his dying statement.
03:12Are workers allegedly harassed victim for days?
03:16BJP demands man's resignation.
03:31And let's begin with the big breaking updates coming in on the security scare that was reported
03:37at the Prime Minister's event in Mumbai where a man who pretended and posed as a PMO official
03:42entered or attempted to enter the event venue in Mumbai.
03:46The latest update we can get for you is that the accused has been sent to police custody
03:51till September 11th.
03:53He's been identified as Rohan Parikh.
03:55The case came up in court after he was taken into custody.
03:58Now here's what's interesting.
04:00Parikh has maintained the suspect in question here.
04:03He's maintained in court that he's the one who's been conned.
04:06He claims he was offered a job at the PMO, was given an ID card and offer letter which
04:12he claims was signed by the Prime Minister so he believed it's a real deal and so he has
04:18been duped is in fact the claim his lawyer has made in court.
04:22Rohan Parikh, his bodyguard, both were nabbed by cops.
04:26The search is on for one more accused in the case.
04:28His bodyguard was also armed, had a firearm with him when they tried to enter the event venue.
04:35He showed off an ID card to say he's a PMO official but he was nabbed by the police officials
04:40there.
04:40There's another accused named Pratamish Bagul who right now the cops are on the lookout for
04:45because they believe he's another accused in this particular case.
04:48But Rohan Parikh, interestingly in court, the suspected question here has claimed that he was
04:52actually in fact conned, that he was made to believe that he's got an offer to join the PMO,
05:00was given an ID card, was given a letter that was signed off by the Prime Minister.
05:04This is what he's claimed in court.
05:06But these are claims that has to of course be investigated further.
05:09Therefore now he, along with this bodyguard of his who is armed, have been taken into custody
05:14and will remain in custody until September 11th.
05:17Mustafa Sheikh is joining us with more details on this.
05:19Mustafa, a sensational case.
05:22This, you know, what seemed to be a security scare is now taking different dimensions,
05:26different turns because the accused here, the suspect, claims he's been conned.
05:34Well, it's true and it is also maybe something larger which is involved, which just the Mumbai
05:39crime branch has stumbled upon because what he's claiming, this person, Rohan Parikh, who
05:44has been arrested, that he has been touched with a person since 2024 and through email, this
05:51person, he has, you know, appointed him as the acquisition, defense person, advisory role
05:59in defense acquisition of the country.
06:01He has also said that the mail which he received, Rohan Parikh received, was from additional
06:06secretary to PM.
06:08So such big claims which are being laid and the defense lawyer clearly said that maybe it's
06:12a case of fraud which has been committed upon Rohan Parikh and hence he had this identity
06:18card, he had a screenshot of this identity card and the defense lawyer has said that he
06:25wanted to buy a perfume for his fiancee and he wanted to enter that venue and for that he
06:32used that screenshot of the identity card to enter so that he can buy the perfume and from
06:38there this entire case have come out where the police stumbled upon the
06:42of forged documents and now Rohan Parikh claiming that somebody has conned him since 2024 made
06:48to believe that he is on advisory role in defense acquisition, additional secretary to PM was
06:55communicating with him.
06:56So these things, now the police will have to verify and get the veracity, get the email
07:01details, who is this person and the most important question will remain how many more such persons
07:07had this accused conned in this way, something which will have to wait for the investigation.
07:12To conclude back to you.
07:13The details you're giving us is stunning to say the least, Mustafa, that he's actually
07:17been holding this card for the last many years, was attempting to enter the event, Venu, because
07:22he wanted to buy a perfume.
07:23This is at BKC, the NMACC is where, if I'm not wrong, the event was happening, is happening
07:29in fact.
07:29And at that point, the accused tried to enter, you know, you see when the Prime Minister's
07:34event is going to happen, obviously the entire area sanitized, everyone who's allowed inside,
07:39they're checked.
07:39And so Rohan Parikh here, whose picture we have on our screens, had an ID card, a photo
07:43of an ID card, claiming he was a PMO official.
07:46He wanted to go in, not for official reasons, to buy a perfume.
07:49He had a bodyguard with him also.
07:51Mustafa, do we have any details about the profile of this man?
07:54How is it that he had a bodyguard who was even armed?
08:01Well, yes, on the issue of bodyguard, the defence lawyer has said that he, the person
08:07who was communicating with Rohan Parikh, had asked him to keep a bodyguard with him for
08:13security purposes.
08:14And hence, he had appointed a bodyguard.
08:16And this person, as per the lawyer, that his lawyer, that he is a very educated person.
08:24And he, just a minute, I'll share the details that was shared in the court, that he has studied
08:30in a London-based university.
08:32That's what the defence lawyer submitted in the court, that Rohan Parikh has studied in
08:36a London-based university and submitted his study and essay to UNESCO on geopolitics.
08:41So, this is his background, a London university educated person, who was made to believe that
08:49he has been appointed by the additional secretary from the PMO of India as a defence acquisition
08:55person.
08:56And since then, he was sent this identification proof, a screenshot of an ID card, which today
09:02he used at an event where the PM was supposed to come.
09:06And from there, the security breach was identified.
09:08Mumbai Crime Branch arrested this person, won the bodyguard with him.
09:12And then, he was produced to courts and remanded to police custody till September 11.
09:16And police will now verify the details which have been mentioned by Rohan Parikh in the court.
09:21Back to you.
09:22Just one quick follow-up question, Mustafa, on in that particular hearing, what the police
09:26put forth as the details they have so far in this particular case.
09:30Do they, at any point, believe that he was truly conned?
09:33Because here's someone who, for the last many years, has apparently been using, misusing
09:37this ID card.
09:42Well, as of now, the police basically said in the court that they have arrested this accused
09:48on the basis of the suspicious government card, which was, you know, which was found with
09:54him.
09:54And he was trying to enter an event which was being sanitized for the event of PM that makes
10:00it a very high security event.
10:02As rightly said, that happened in BKC, the NMMC center where this tech show was going to
10:09happen.
10:09And after that, they have registered an F.I.R.
10:11Now, whatever claims which are being made by Rohan will have to be verified by the police.
10:16And the most important thing, they will be look out on this person who has been identified
10:21in the court as to what is his real identity.
10:24Where is he from?
10:26How was he getting access to all these ID cards?
10:29And thirdly, how many more people has he scammed in this entire thing?
10:34So, that is something which is, so the revelations which have come out in the court regarding this
10:38case is something, lead can lead to something big which was operating in the name of PMO.
10:44So, that is something which the Mumbai crime branch will be looking into and expecting.
10:48Thanks, Mustafa, for those details.
10:49Stunning details emerging, really, in this case.
10:52And clearly, a lot doesn't add up here.
10:54Here's a man who has an ID card claiming to be a PMO official.
10:58For the last many years, reportedly, has claimed to be a PMO official.
11:02Had a bodyguard who was armed, tried to enter the venue where the Prime Minister was set to
11:07attend an event to buy a perfume bottle.
11:09He was not even there claiming to be on official duty.
11:11He tried to use his influence to get inside and then was caught.
11:15He claims he's been conned and that he was offered a job which he thought meant that he
11:19was in a consulting role with the PMO.
11:21But clearly, nothing adds up here because here's a man who's also very well educated.
11:25According to the details mentioned in court, he's someone who's gone, studied, abroad studied
11:30in London, has a degree from a London university.
11:33A lot that doesn't add up.
11:34Hopefully, the investigation will throw more light on exactly what's playing out.
11:38This is a massive racket that's been on earth.
11:44Okay, let's move on and get your details of what's happening in the southern states.
11:49We'll focus first on Tamil Nadu, where Chief Minister Vijay's speech yesterday created ripples
11:54in the Assembly.
11:55Today, DMK MLA is staging a protest, sat down on the floor of the Assembly and they had
12:00to be marshaled out, dragged out of the Assembly.
12:02Why were they protesting?
12:03A couple of issues.
12:05One, over a gesture that the Chief Minister made in the Assembly, where he brought his
12:09hand to his chin.
12:11Now, this, the DMK, their allies have said, was a personal attack at Stalin and that it
12:17was body shaming of the former Chief Minister.
12:20On the other front, the DMK also demanded that some of the corruption mentions that Chief
12:25Minister Vijay made be expunged in the Assembly.
12:28This is what played out.
12:30We'll take a look first at all the reactions.
12:41One gesture by Chief Minister Vijay has now created a ruckus in the Tamil Nadu Assembly.
12:47A political decency and decorum, at least to an extent.
12:51Chief Minister Vijay, while delivering a fiery speech on the Assembly floor on Monday,
12:57has not just made headlines, but also been accused of body shaming former Chief Minister
13:02M.K.
13:03Stalin.
13:09While speaking about the 1976 emergency and the MISA debate, Chief Minister Vijay placed
13:16his hand on his face in a gesture that appeared to mimic someone being struck.
13:38Since then, the Assembly has been out of control.
13:42On Tuesday, the first course of action by the DMK was to demand the expunging of the remarks,
13:48calling it derogatory.
14:13But the Tamil Nadu Speaker rejected the demand after the ruckus escalated.
14:26After that, DMK MLEs were allegedly thrown out of the Assembly.
14:31The DMK called the Speaker tyrannical.
14:47Tamil Nadu Minister Nirmal Kumar defended Chief Minister Vijay and pointed out what M.K.
14:53Stalin had said about Indra Gandhi's scheme.
15:20When asked about the gesture, former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.
15:24Stalin called it disrespectful.
15:40But it is not just the DMK.
15:42Even Vijay's own ally, the CPIM, questioned the gesture.
15:47The gesture may be open to interpretation, but its political impact is clear.
16:08With the DMK up in arms, questions are now coming, even from Vijay's own allies.
16:15Vidhapurva Jayachandran and Anagar Keshav, Bureau Report, India Today.
16:34And let's get you a clarification that's come in from Chief Minister Vijay on his now viral gesture from his
16:40Assembly address yesterday, in fact.
16:43Now you've got the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister saying that it's triggered and the controversy has escalated.
16:51But the Chief Minister has now gone ahead and clarified.
16:54I'll just read out for you exactly what in fact he has said in that statement.
16:59As in fact, the Chief Minister has spoken out in this particular issue saying very clearly, and I quote, that
17:08unfortunately there's been a controversy over the gesture that he's made.
17:16I'm just going to give you those details and I'll read out now for you.
17:19I wish to clarify that during my response speech on the police department's grant request, my body language, which inadvertently
17:26came across in between, was not in any way intentional.
17:30Therefore, I kindly request that it not be interpreted as an act intended to hurt anyone's feelings on a personal
17:36level.
17:36This is, in fact, the clarification that's come in from the Chief Minister.
17:40I'll take this across to Pramod Madhav for more details.
17:44Pramod, the Chief Minister choosing to clarify on this issue because many believed that essentially the Chief Minister's gesture, where
17:52he brought his hand to his chin,
17:54the suggestion was that that was a taunt at Stalin and the reported injuries that he had suffered when he
18:00was taken into custody.
18:02Now he's chosen to clarify on it, saying no, it wasn't a personal attack.
18:06Well, surely, Akshita, considering that MISA, which is the maintenance of the Internal Security Act, played a very important role
18:12during the emergency in the street of Tamil Nadu,
18:14then DMK government was disqualified and quite a lot of leaders, including from CPM, CPI, everybody were jailed.
18:22Anybody who was speaking against them, Indira Gandhi's Congress, were actually in prison.
18:27And this is the reason now what has happened.
18:29It's like when the Chief Minister apparently made a comment over there, the Chief Minister trying to discredit in a
18:34way, stating that we all know what happened during MISA.
18:36And for that, the law minister also gave a kind of a different expression, stating that M.K. Stalin was
18:41not arrested under MISA.
18:45And it was like, you know, for some other reason.
18:48But however, after CPM has opposed it and condemned the CM's speech, now the Chief Minister has very clearly said
18:55that his body language was of no intention to hurt anybody, Akshita.
19:00All right. Thanks, Pramod, for joining us with all of those details.
19:05Again, to put it in context for our viewers, this was yesterday when the Chief Minister spoke in the Assembly
19:10and he made a gesture while speaking on MISA.
19:13He brought his hand to his chin.
19:15And so that particular gesture that you see right at that particular moment, very quickly, when he raises his hand
19:21and touches his chin,
19:22that particular gesture, many believe, was a taunt at M.K. Stalin and the fact that there were some reports
19:29that suggested that he'd suffered a jaw injury when he was arrested.
19:33But let me break that down for you.
19:35While the Chief Minister has clarified, saying my body language was not intentional, this was not a personal attack,
19:39what exactly was that reference of MISA?
19:43Why is this such a sensitive reference for M.K. Stalin?
19:45We have to take this back to 1975, during the emergency.
19:50Then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had imposed the emergency.
19:53Of course, civil liberties were curtailed.
19:55Opposition leaders across the country were being arrested.
19:58In Tamil Nadu, the DMK government at that point, led by M. Karunanadi, openly opposed the emergency.
20:04The centre, on January 31st, 1976, dismissed the Karunanadi government and imposed President's rule in the state.
20:11And the crackdown followed on the DMK.
20:13Among those arrested then was a 23-year-old M.K. Stalin.
20:19Police first went to Karunanadi's residence looking for Stalin.
20:22He wasn't home.
20:23He was away, performing in a play.
20:25Back then, Stalin, as a youngster, was still someone who was acting in many films and in plays.
20:31Stalin returned the next day and shortly afterwards, he was arrested.
20:36But here's the crucial part.
20:38Stalin was arrested under MISA.
20:40What's MISA?
20:40You've heard that repeated reference.
20:42MISA is the Maintenance of Internal Security Act.
20:45MISA was used during the emergency.
20:47It allowed authorities to detain people without the normal safeguards of an ordinary criminal trial.
20:54Stalin was taken to the Madras Central Prison, where he would spend almost a year in custody.
21:00And this is where Stalin's account of the emergency turns deeply personal.
21:04He's recalled being subjected to severe conditions inside the prison, being repeatedly beaten.
21:10He's described the jail as a torture camp.
21:13Stalin is also recalled being housed for a period in a block that had previously been used for leprosy patients.
21:18He says that there was blood-soaked cotton stuck to the walls.
21:22And according to his account, even basic facilities that MISA prisoners were entitled to, including a fan, bedding, mosquito net
21:29and adequate daily allowance, all of that was denied.
21:33According to Stalin, there was one pot for urination, another for water.
21:36He says the sanitation pot would sometimes overflow during the night.
21:40The most serious part of his account was after dark, where he recalled midnight beatings inside the prison.
21:47According to his account, prison authorities allegedly used live convicts to assault MISA prisoners.
21:53He says he could hear screams from neighbouring cells and feared that his turn would come.
21:59And one of the most significant episodes, and this is again in Stalin's account, involves a fellow DMK leader.
22:06According to him, he tried to shield him during one of the assaults, taking some of the blows meant for
22:11him and therefore died as well.
22:14This is Stalin's account of what happened.
22:17So Stalin repeatedly held that emergency regime was politically responsible for what happened to him and other DMK leaders.
22:23These allegations of prison exorcists were not limited to Stalin's personal account either.
22:30There was a Justice MM Ismail Commission which was appointed to inquire into these allegations.
22:35And the commission looked into how, in fact, several DMK leaders were also treated.
22:41Allegations of both physical abuse and systematic ill-treatment of political detailles.
22:46But at the same time, there are questions about whether this was ordered personally by Indira Gandhi.
22:51There is no proof at all.
22:54And so his criticism of Indira Gandhi was directed at the emergency, the MISA crackdown,
22:58and the political repression carried out by her government.
23:01So when Vijay invoked the MISA episode at the Assembly, he wasn't simply referring to an old political arrest.
23:06He was referring to that period when Stalin himself was arrested, was reportedly assaulted.
23:11So what did the chief minister say on it?
23:13He said, even today, you can't justify everything that happens today by referring to MISA,
23:18by referring to what happened decades ago.
23:20That was the political attack that played out in the Assembly.
23:24The other aspect of this is corruption.
23:27Again, on the issue of corruption, Chief Minister Vijay raised two issues.
23:32He mentioned an ED file.
23:33He mentioned the Sarkaria Commission.
23:35He placed two sets of documents in the centre of his allegations.
23:39And let's focus for a moment on the Sarkaria Commission report from the 1970s.
23:43What exactly is the commission?
23:44Again, I have to take you back in time to the 1970s, 1976 to be exact,
23:49when the centre dismissed the Karnanadi-led government, again during the emergency, as I explained.
23:54There were allegations of corruption, misuse of power, of administrative irregularities.
24:00And so the centre appointed Supreme Court Judge Justice R. Sarkaria to head a one-man inquiry commission.
24:06The commission examined 28 allegations against the then-DMK government that was in power between 1971 to 1976.
24:14The allegations included charges against then-Chief Minister M. Karnanadi and several office ministers.
24:21The commission ultimately recorded findings on seven allegations.
24:24Six were found to be true or partially true, one was found to be false.
24:28But there's an important caveat here.
24:30The commission did not record a finding on the controversial Veeranam Water Project,
24:34even though the allegation was examined.
24:36And that was to do with drinking water to Chennai.
24:39And it was embroiled in all kinds of controversy, of corruption, of tender irregularities and misuse of power.
24:45It's that history that Vijay is bringing back into the political spotlight.
24:51And let me take this across to our panellists.
24:53We've got Satya Kumar, national spokesperson of the TV case,
24:56Sumansi Raman, political analyst, and Harish Muhammad Ibrahim, political analyst as well.
25:00Good evening to all of you. Thank you for joining us.
25:03Mr. Sumansi Raman, I'd like to begin with you on what you thought of what's played out
25:07in the last 48 hours of the Assembly, sir, whether it's the Chief Minister's speech
25:10or what happened today when the DMK MLAs protested.
25:13You've got a clarification, by the way, from the Chief Minister on that gesture that went viral.
25:19First of all, all of it is diversion.
25:21None of it serves the people of Tamil Nadu in any constructive manner.
25:27And going back 25, 30 years, there's always been the controversy as to the real reason why Mr. Stalin was
25:34arrested,
25:35whether it was under Misa or not.
25:37And that has been the subject of much speculation.
25:39But going into that also doesn't serve any purpose.
25:43The Chief Minister's act, particularly the movement that he made, was certainly uncalled for.
25:50Whatever one may agree or not disagree with Mr. Stalin's politics, he has been dignified.
25:55Most of the time, as a Chief Minister, he has been dignified.
25:59I do not know for what reason the present Chief Minister feels the need for these kind of gestures
26:06and this kind of movie dialogues and punch dialogue kind of speeches.
26:11So, all of which, yesterday he was supposed to reply to a lot of questions.
26:14Mr. Subhansi Ramani gets the views, that's why.
26:18No, there's got to be something beyond getting views, Akshita.
26:21I mean, at some point, people will tire of all this.
26:23They will want substance over fluff.
26:26And all we are getting right now is fluff.
26:28We are not getting the substance.
26:30So, I think that right now, he is still in the honeymoon period.
26:33So, therefore, I don't see any major problem because of this.
26:37But eventually, people will start asking questions.
26:40If all we are going to get is rhetoric, all we are going to get is, you know, rather like
26:45what Mr. Modi does,
26:47it's all Nehru's fault, it's all Indira Gandhi's fault, Rajiv Gandhi's fault.
26:51So, the similarity here with it's all Mr. Karnanadi's fault, it's all Mr. Stalin's fault
26:57and now it's all Mr. Udeniji's fault, I don't think that that will go down very well with the people
27:02long term.
27:03For now, it's fine.
27:04He is playing to the gallery and it's working for him.
27:07But I don't think this is sustainable long term.
27:09There's been a lot of chatter on this, on whether this is the Modi model playing out in Tamil Nadu,
27:14where there's a fiery speech, everyone's watching, everyone's tracking it.
27:19There's a lot of talk, chatter around that particular speech, but it's loaded with political attacks.
27:24Mr. Satya Kumar, would you like to respond, sir, to all of the questions about, in fact, this, about the
27:29chief minister's speech?
27:30The DMK in particular has questioned the gesture.
27:33They've also said that none of the allegations on corruption can actually hold.
27:39So, Akshita, the speech of the Honourable Chief Minister, Vijay, was factual, be it Sarkaria Commission,
27:48be it the matter relating to MISA, and also with respect to the humiliation that the Jalil Tham Madam faced
27:54in the Assembly,
27:55and coming back to the ED dossiers, 7.5% to 10% commission, where the evidences have been provided
28:00to the DMK government on Mr. K. Nehru,
28:04as well as Mr. Sendhil Balaji, on whom the rule of law didn't apply.
28:07Vijay, the rule of man was operating in Tamil Nadu.
28:11Now that we are taking action, Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Vijay, went to clearly say that we are
28:18invoking the rule of law.
28:20And by the way, today's youngsters need to be reminded about the DMK's pattern of governance.
28:27Taking 2.5% for Veeranam Water, taking 2.5% commission during the Veeranam Water project and sending it
28:35to Mr. Satya Naira group of brothers.
28:37But why, sir, the DMK has been defeated by you, by the CBK?
28:40No, man, taking 7.5% and 10% party fund and minister fund, giving it to Mr. MK Stalin
28:46and Mr. Odeni, this talent, is the same pattern.
28:48Humilating a woman is the pattern of DMK.
28:50If you'd allow me, sir, an interruption right now.
28:51That's what our leader exposed it to the Assembly.
28:53I'm just going to intervene because my question to you is, why is there a need to do it, sir?
28:58You've won the TV case, won the DMK has been ousted for maybe exactly those reasons.
29:04People should, Akshita, people should know what they underwent in the past 60 to 70 years.
29:10And what opposition went through in the past 70 years, it's an opportunity for us to expose them.
29:15And that's the reason our Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Talbadi Vijay, went on to expose them.
29:20And by the way, it was only the fag end of the speech.
29:24The matters that he read, the matters that he spoke from the papers is all about transformation that's happening in
29:30Tamil Nadu.
29:31I can show you 400 transformations which are brought in in the Assembly, mapping into the department.
29:37With the Vetri Tamil Nadu vision document, mapping into the intra-department transformation that the government is trying to do
29:46with respect to eradicating corruption, anti-drug campaigns.
29:50So, there are many transformations that are happening in the government.
29:53So, he spoke about it first.
29:55Then he spoke about the factual issues exposing the DMK government.
30:00Why?
30:00Tamil Nadu is still, even though it is progressing, but still it is lagging behind many of the states because
30:06of the party fund culture and DMK's corruption.
30:10Corruption, collection, commission.
30:12Harish, your opening comment.
30:15The TVK is saying it was important to put the spotlight on the alleged corruption by the DMK.
30:26Electroclown, and we could expect only the circus to happen, and Mr. Vijay have done the same circus for the
30:32last couple of sessions, which he is good at.
30:35He took three consecutive days to prepare whatever these useless documents, which is there in the public domain, and even
30:44it is a matter of subjudice, where the Supreme Court has given clear-cut instructions to the ED that you
30:51are going unconstitutional and judicial overreach.
30:54And having bring those documents and creating those kind of rhetorics with the actions, which is pertaining to the 1976
31:02draconian movement, which has been laid down by the Congress, which was opposed by the DMK, tooth and nail.
31:10If they have to oppose those kind of draconian law, they should expose the Congress, first of all.
31:15And only one thing I want to put it in record, that 1.79 crore of Tamil people who have
31:23voted have made sure that they have expelled the statements to select a cheap man.
31:30Because all these kind of gestures inside the assembly without even having the foundation of ethical balances, what which is
31:39mixing?
31:40You don't buy the clarification that's coming from the chief minister?
31:43Because he said it wasn't personal.
31:44We know what kind of dash he will speak, what kind of Pavala Vila dash he will speak, what kind
31:55of gestures he will show.
31:57We know he himself is a crooked man.
32:01And whatever the dialogue delivery he have made sure for the last couple of sessions, put in spotlight that Mr.
32:08Vijay and his heinous thought process is always to offend Mr. MK Stalin.
32:13But one thing we have to make it clear, the 1.79 crore people of Tamil Nadu doesn't going to
32:19resonate, the rest of them who doesn't vote for TBK and the government, because this government lacked the empathy, lacked
32:26the civility, lacked the political discourse.
32:29And having said that, whether Mr. MK, sorry, Udaini, the Stalin's 15 points, which made sure to raise the pertinent
32:37law and order issue and the economical outburst which is going to happen, because this government has lost almost GST
32:431% during their consecutive four months of time.
32:46Whether they have addressed any of those issues which is related to Tamil Nadu, whether they have raised any pertinent
32:55issues, no.
32:56But they want to do a diversion tactics because each and every Tamil Nadu people only to subscribe these kind
33:03of action, rhetorics like a cinema actor.
33:06But he has to believe that he is no more a cinema actor.
33:09He is a chief minister of Tamil Nadu.
33:11The constant criticism of Mr. Satya Kumar is that the speech was too filmy and that none of the issues,
33:17as Mr. Harish has highlighted, that none of the issues brought up by Udaini, the Stalin were actually addressed.
33:21Maybe a couple of them, maybe two, three of them, but not the list that the DMK had brought up
33:26constantly.
33:28See, Akshita, the allegations or the time that the DMK wastes in assembly, we know well what is the tactics
33:35they follow.
33:36In fact, they use the state assembly as a platform for political narrative, which we don't want to succumb to.
33:42We delivered what people want.
33:45We highlighted what people should know.
33:47Because people are the king, because they elected us 1.75 crore people, elected TVK, and we are accountable for
33:57them, we are responsible for them.
33:58We use the assembly to answer to them, people's issue.
34:03I am saying there are 400 transformations, which is leading to reforms and performance in the government in the last
34:10100 days.
34:11Why is that nobody is able to understand it?
34:14That's my question.
34:15As they say, there is no transformation at all.
34:18I can map it to each of the department.
34:20Only thing, we don't have time in the show.
34:22If you can organize a special show, I will show to all those people who are supporting the DMK, what
34:27kind of transformations are undergoing.
34:28There are grassroot level transformations in the government that is happening.
34:33I can map it and show from the tender, from the law and order perspective.
34:37By the way, I think Mr. Satyakumar, one second.
34:40One intervention, sir, because you said that you wanted to list it out sector-wise.
34:45So, Harish, you had a question, quickly.
34:51No, no, I want Mr. Satyakumar to respond to the fact.
34:54He is saying so much of transformation is going to happen and it is happening down the lane.
34:59Ask him to measure any one or two of his transformation which is going to benefit.
35:04No, you say, say it, sir.
35:06No, sir, yeah, yeah, correct, I agree.
35:08No, I got your point.
35:09One or two, Satyakumar.
35:11One second, one second.
35:12Sing up and...
35:13Listen, listen, let me come, please.
35:15Give one or two which is going to benefit the entire...
35:17Yeah, so, yeah, you have asked that question, let him come now, let him say it.
35:19If this is something that Stalin is doing in the assembly, allow me to speak.
35:25You raise the question and you don't allow me to speak.
35:28Can I, Akshita?
35:29Yes, please.
35:30Don't divert, don't divert, come on, answer, answer one or two.
35:33Don't divert the issue, come on.
35:34Let me explain.
35:35You asked the question, let me explain.
35:37Same like your chief minister.
35:41Thanks for that compliment.
35:44Okay, go ahead, Mr. Satyakumar, go ahead.
35:46See, there are eight pillars in which Honorable Chief Minister addressed.
35:50Eight pillars, Akshita.
35:51Pillar number one is about the law and order.
35:53And pillar number two, police modernization and strategy.
35:57Pillar number three, women and children protection.
36:00And then pillar number four, drug trafficking eradication.
36:03Pillar number five, anti-corruption stance.
36:05What kind of mockery he is doing?
36:06Pillar number six, police welfare and accountability.
36:08Your own TVK personnel in Bezant have been brutally murdered.
36:10Pillar number eight, Tamil civilization values what transformations we are bringing in that area and department.
36:16Like this, eight pillars on which he addressed with a micro-level transformation.
36:21I'll give you one second, let me finish.
36:24Before we spoke about Misa.
36:25Come on.
36:27Okay, Harish sir, now come in.
36:28Stop this chat GPT thing, come on.
36:30Your own TVK functionary, your own TVK functionary have been brutally murdered in Besanagar day before yesterday.
36:37And your own TVK functionary in Ranipet have been accusing your district secretary of molestation.
36:43And your own Srivai Gunda functionary who has been reporting that the MLA Sharavanan has been molestating with a group
36:50of Gundas.
36:51And you are speaking about law and order.
36:54What kind of mockery you are doing Mr. Satya Kumar on a live channel?
36:57What kind of mockery is this?
36:59You are coming up with all the chat GPT points and stating that it is going to benefit the entire
37:04length and breadth of Tamil people.
37:06Have you ever go ahead and fulfilled your propaganda, whatever you have delivered in the...
37:11One second, one second, let me complete.
37:13Whether you have, at least whether you have completed any one or two poll promises of yours.
37:19Whether you have given 2,500, whether you have given 6 cylinders, whether you have given the entire bus free
37:25service to the entire women community across Tamil Nadu.
37:28You can't even deliver a single poll promise and you are coming ahead with all kind of rhetoric.
37:33Now let's give Mr. Satya Kumar a chance to respond please because I have to wrap this up.
37:37And you know what thing, Tamil people, Tamil people have elected, Tamil people, one second, one second.
37:41Tamil people have elected even after Sakarya commission which is a bogus report.
37:45After that, three times the chief minister has been elected.
37:49Okay, Mr. Satya Kumar.
37:50What kind of foolish argument you and your chief minister or do you think, do you think the entire Tamil
37:55people are fools like you?
37:57Okay, let Mr. Satya Kumar respond.
37:58Come on, give us a break.
37:59Okay.
38:00Mr. Satya Kumar, go ahead.
38:01Sir, the anger of the DMK is the compliment to the TVK.
38:04The reason is that we are not able to spot the micro-level transformation that we are bringing in with
38:09respect to tender transparency,
38:12with respect to Singapen, Adheri Padai, then with respect to anti-drug movements that we are trying to bring in
38:19along with the enforcement mechanism.
38:21All those things you need to do survey.
38:23DMK should go and do a survey with a live telecast.
38:26Let the people say what they wanted to say about the TVK government.
38:30So, there is a transformation that is happening.
38:33In 100 days, what we have to deliver, we are delivering.
38:35Three gas cylinders we have provided.
38:37And by the way, Akshita, I would like to highlight here, even in India today,
38:41Your own minister is nodding.
38:42Conclave violated.
38:4315 lakh crore is the total debt of Tamil Nadu, which DMK left when they left the government.
38:5015 lakh crore, not just 10 lakh crore.
38:52They never ever highlighted it.
38:5310 lakh crore direct debt.
38:55Then they have about 3.5 lakh crores in public sector undertaking.
38:58No, but then the question will be, sir, what the TVK plans to do with it?
39:01Because the freebies continue.
39:03The freebies continue.
39:04I'll just give the final word.
39:05The final word, please, to Mr. Sumanci Raman, who has been waiting patiently.
39:08Who has been waiting patiently.
39:10I'm sorry, Harish, sir.
39:11I don't have time for this.
39:12But I'm going to give Mr. Sumanci Raman the final word on this.
39:14Because what we've seen, sir, is a TVK versus DMK fight playing out in the Assembly.
39:20And that's dominated the last 48 hours.
39:23Do you think that the DMK's demand to expunge comments that the Chief Minister making a mention of an EDA
39:29file,
39:29the Chief Minister making a mention of Sarkaria Commission simply doesn't cut it?
39:32That there's not evidence?
39:33No, no.
39:35I think that all these are already in the public domain.
39:37There is no need to expunge any of these.
39:39Because these are matters which are in public domain for the last 30, 40 years.
39:45So there is no need to expunge anything.
39:46Having said that, I think this government seems to believe that everything is real.
39:53And needs some kind of a diversion and some kind of a movie dialogue to run the show.
40:01Thankfully, though this has been a very eventful assembly session.
40:05And it's fantastic that this government has given people the opportunity to watch it live.
40:09I think that I'm quite thankful that this assembly session is coming to an end.
40:14And actually, we should hopefully see some work.
40:17Instead of just dialogues being given on both sides,
40:21we should actually see the government starting to do something
40:23and deliver on the ground on the promises that have been made.
40:27Not just the promises, but on a whole lot of issues which are pending.
40:30Law and order is not significantly better than what it was under the DMK.
40:34Freedom of speech is exactly the same.
40:36People are being picked up and locked up for social media posts.
40:40Nothing seems to be changing.
40:42Walk the talk, essentially, is the message also that's coming in.
40:45But thank you very much, Mr. Suman Siaraman, Mr. Harish, Mr. Satya Kumar,
40:49for your time, for joining us here on India Today.
40:51The assembly session has come to an end.
40:53It's curtains down on what's been an extremely fiery, interesting, entertaining called What You Want.
40:59It's the end of this assembly session.
41:01But there's no doubt that the barbs, the fight between the DMK and the TVK will continue.
41:06Let's move on to Keralam.
41:08For the last one week, there's been a huge controversy surrounding a comment made by a Muslim cleric,
41:14where he suggested that women should be boxed up.
41:16They should stay at home.
41:18And a television debater on this has triggered a massive controversy.
41:22Why? A local TV journalist, Aparna Kurub, has, in fact, been booked.
41:28Police have registered a case against her for the remarks she made,
41:31because she called out this particular cleric, Abu Bakr Musliyar, for the comments that he made.
41:37She called it out, and so a case has been booked against her.
41:41That has now sparked a wider debate over free speech, over religious sentiments and political pressure.
41:52A TV debate, a police case, and now a political storm.
41:58Keralam police have registered a case against journalist Aparna Kurub over remarks
42:03made during a discussion on Kanthapuram AP, Abu Bakr Musiyah's comments on women appearing in public.
42:30The FIR alleges that Kurub's remarks could hurt religious sentiments, provoke a breach of peace,
42:37and promote enmity between communities.
42:40Kurub had criticized Kanthapuram's statement.
42:43He said,
43:14Amid the backlash, Kuroop apologised.
43:17Big TV also removed the videos from its social media platforms.
43:21But the controversy did not end there.
43:23Based on a complaint by Kuroop, state police registered a case against Abdullah Basr,
43:29CP of the Wisdom Islamic Organisation, who had taken part in the debate.
43:34Kuroop alleged that Basil circulated misleading videos.
43:38Basil alleged the controversy is aimed at creating a narrative against one religion.
43:58Congress's ally IUML stepped in demanding a withdrawal of the case against Basil.
44:17State BJP President Rajiv Chandrasekhar called the situation Taliban-like.
44:22Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress Party, sits in Delhi and talks about patriarchy
44:30and maintains a studied silence about what is going on in Keralam.
44:34If the Muslim League, with the mute, meek support of the Congress Party,
44:39thinks that they can take Keralam back into the stone ages,
44:43I will assure you, we will fight you tooth and nail.
44:47Not only will we fight you politically, but we will fight you legally and we will defeat this effort.
44:53Meanwhile, Kanta Puram has appealed for restraint, urging his followers not to be provoked.
44:59The Keralam draw has now become a larger debate over religion, free speech and the freedom to question ideas.
45:07Vichy Bimolkeji from Tiruvannantapuram, Bureau Report, India Today.
45:20Let's also get to an update that's coming in on the Prajwal Revana rape case.
45:24Because remember that the last two weeks, during in fact a raid at the Parapanagrahara,
45:30which is the Bengaluru central prison,
45:31it was found that Prajwal Revana had with him a mobile phone.
45:35And so, in that particular case, he's been sent to two days of police custody.
45:40Right now, for his interrogation on exactly where he managed to get this phone from.
45:45Remember that the mobile phone that he had in the jail also had pornographic content in it.
45:50And so, cops want to grill Prajwal Revana on illicit mobile use,
45:55the contacts who helped him inside the central prison,
45:58because obviously there were officials in this prison who helped this rapist
46:03go ahead and get access to a mobile phone.
46:06A mobile phone that, let me remind you once again, had pornographic content.
46:10Prajwal Revana was produced in court today.
46:13I will show you those images also of Prajwal Revana in court today
46:17when he was produced in this particular case.
46:21That's the image there for you.
46:23He has now been remanded to police custody for further investigation
46:28into what kind of perks he was receiving at the Parapanagrahara.
46:32This isn't the first time we've seen this controversy in Karnataka.
46:34Previously acted Darshan and now it's Prajwal Revana.
46:47Let's get you more breaking news coming in.
46:49This one from Telangana, where the BRS and the Congress are continuing to fight it out.
46:54KT Ramaral being detained once again today.
46:58He was taken into custody as he attempted to make his way to KCR's farmhouse.
47:03KTR along with a slew of other BRS leaders were taken into custody, were detained.
47:10And now even as that's happened, you've got KTR lashing out at Revana Reddy.
47:22What do you have to say?
47:23Going on since morning, what do you have to say, Darshan?
47:26Well, you know, we have enough and, you know, we have more than enough confidence in the judiciary
47:31across the country.
47:32And we thank the judiciary for coming to the rescue of our legislators.
47:35They have clearly rejected the case that has been filed by the government.
47:38And we are hopeful that even the assembly will not do anything unjust.
47:43Well, you know, when a goon is a chief minister of Telangana,
47:47when a chief minister has 89 criminal cases registered against him,
47:51this is what you can expect.
47:52Gunda Raj is what is to be expected.
48:05Now what do you have to say to the chief minister, going to the house?
48:08Well, we are going to the chief minister to see him in the assembly.
48:11We hope that they'll not do anything hasty after,
48:14especially in the light of what judiciary has just said.
48:16What do you think is happening, sir?
48:17Two days, high voltage drama that is going on?
48:19Diversion game chal raha hai, diversion game chal raha hai.
48:21Kya toh kuch hai nahi, hazaar din mein kya toh kuch hai nahi.
48:24Toh kya karna hai majburi?
48:26Majburi mein yeh niya snog.
48:28Majburi mein aaj diversion game khael raha hai, toh zarur dekhen ke kya hoga.
48:32Thank you, Abdul.
48:36Now I'll just put that in context for you.
48:38KTR, along with a slew of other BRS leaders, were taken into custody, were detained earlier today
48:43as they attempted to make their way to KCR's farmhouse.
48:46There's also been a huge controversy over the showdown that took place yesterday in the assembly
48:51where the BRS alleges that their women leaders were also manhandled by police officials.
48:57So we'll continue tracking the big war of words between Rewanth Reddy and KTR.
49:02This is happening at a time when the Telangana government, when the Rewanth government has
49:05completed 1,000 days in power.
49:08But with that news break, I'm wrapping up this edition of Super 6.
49:12Thanks very much for tuning in.
49:13I'll see you same time tomorrow.
